I was just wondering who else got SOCOM 3? I got it on the 2nd day of its release (stupid EB holding the game 24 hours after its release) :mad:
Anyways, does anybody have it and play it online?

I did go through the whole game (Commander, Captain, Admiral) and beat it on Saturday to unlock everything I could for online use (yes, including the IW-80 :p )

I've got it....although my headset is screwed up for the time being.

I didn't realize you could unlock the I-dub on single player....I'm gonna have to play it now too.

Yup. You have to beat the game on Admiral to unlock the IW and the STG 77 for use in single player and multi-player (online). You also get a bunch of skins as usual. But you also do have to play the PSP version and transfer your data to the PS2 in order to get other skins. Oh well, I can always go out and rent the PSP version.

yep, M-14 all the way in S2. As far as S3 is concerned, Ive heard it wasnt that good (and no I dont really put too much faith into egm, ign, etc), just yet another BF2 wannabe. But I reserve judgement until I play it.

By the way...just a fair warning to those that don't have this game yet but plan to get it and play online:

You must have an active credit card, debit card, or bank (checking) card in order to verify your account. If you verify your account, you can have rank, keep stats, join/make clans, and have a friends list. If you don't have a credit, debit, or check card, you can't have any of these things however you can still play unranked games online. They DO NOT CHARGE to play online. If you put in your card number, they will take $1 out of our card to make sure it's active, then they will put the $1 back.

I'm sure most of you are aware that you can play anything without it having to be ranked in this game (so it's not just respawns you can play).

In SOCOM 2, it was I Snipe 4 Food but this game won't allow any spaces in screen names so I settled for that. :)

If you want to play, currently I'm not interested in playing ranked games until I get used to all maps and all types of games you can play. I do play unranked as of right now to get used to the maps and stuff (yes I did verify my account).

Socom 3 is so addicting. And i thought i was addicted to S2. I love alot of the new features. Although it does have TONS of things that need fixing via patches, i think it is superior to s2 in just about every way. My handle is ShellShocT, im gonna send you a friends invite Snipe. Ive always wanted to shoot it up with some Bucs fans.

this game is funny m16 goes from a pro only gun in s2 to a ubernoob gun in s3.
