Has anyone here ever used the formation. Now on Madden it's called Dual HB. I have used it I must say it is very effective in the passing game. Usually you will get like a LB on Pittman in the open field and 9/10 Pittman will burn them. Sometimes though they will cover Pittman with a CB or Safety so then you can go the other way to Caddy.

Has anyone else here ever tried it and if you have how effective is it for you.

I've never tried the "Dual HB" package but the full house out of the west coast offense is some kind of running machine. Alstott, Pittman, Caddy, even Clayton all get into the running game out of that formation.

I have used the dual HB formations and they work well. Some passing plays need some time to form because the running backs need those extra seconds to seperate from the linebackers or cornerbacks. The fullhouse formation is awesome. I know Becht, Alstott, and Williams are all behind the QB. All you have to do is motion Alstott to Bechts side and when Alstott gets to the end of the tackle you hike the ball. This is for running plays going between or outside of the tackle. Once this happens, you have Alstott either picking up the blitzing defender while the tackles block the DE and Becht going downfield pancaking a CB, FS, SS, or LB or you will have Alstott blocking the DE while that sides tackle goes downfield and pancakes a LB and you still have Becht going downfield pancaking a CB or saftey. During those two things that may happen, always follow Becht. He will be your guy to count on to take it to the house. There is an automatic touchdown if you do the same as the above and then see Alstott going downfield to block but always keep your cool and follow and wait for Becht to block for you. Usually he would pancake the first guy and then go and look for another guy to pancake. I remember him just pancaking 4 defenders like ragdolls on one play that scored a 90 yard touchdown. Go ahead and give it a try in practice mode. The fullhouse formation has definately given me a advantage in the running game. I average about 170ypg against real competition.

ThanksBrad

interesting, never thought about putting alstott in motion, but wouldnt it be more helpful to put becht in motion and have alstott lead the way?

You could do it the way you described and it will work also BUT you are going to be using alstott as the 'bait' blocker. What I mean by this is that he is there to block the big guy like a DE or LB leaving the big blockers, like the OT and TE, will block the smaller guys in the backfield. Remember, if you have a TE that is 250+lbs blocking a CB or a FS, that is a pancake. If you have a OT almost to the 300lb mark blocking a LB or any of the above mentioned, that is a pancake. Compared to Alstott 230lb+, he is capable of holding off the big defenders as long as you watch and react to the hole being formed by your OT and the TE. Let me know the results after you practice it a few times.
