Does anyone think that the Bucs could get this sweet END in this draft?
Also is KIWI from Boston college a right or left end?
ThanksBrad

we maybe able to get kiwi, but unless we trade up we ain't gettin williams, plus we need a nice nickel back and o-line men not DE we got rice and white, assuming tht bolden leaves

Rice is no lock to return either considering his massive salary cap figure.

if we don't keep rice, then yea we better go after a DE in the draft, rice should come back though

I really want to keep Rice and if not I would love to see this guy. But yeah we might have to trade up.

i'm not a draft expert by any means, but if you check out the mock draft i posted, i've got both these guys going top 10, which is depressing cuz i was hoping one would be a brownie next year. and if i can't create a scenario where my team gets the guy i want, no way he slips to you guys unless he hurts himself from now til draft day

Kiwi has a good chance of slipping to the Browns seeing as many teams see him as an OLB pass rush specialist.
There are rumors that on some teams preliminary draft boards that have Tamba Hali and LenDale White as top ten picks.

Is his knee ok?

He is very undersized foe a DE in the NFL, he's only 6'0'' and like 250, if that. I think he'd be better as an OLB in a 3-4 D.

He's a little on the short side, but I think he's in the 255-260 range now which is about average for the DEs in this draft. I think the only DEs who will have to find a 3-4 and Wimbley and Lawson who are both really small.

There's no comparison between the two. Only size can put them in the same category, but Freeney's pure talent, athleticism, and motor are far and away superior to that of Dumervil.
"Super Mario" Williams in a Buc jersey..... goosebumps.... But no way he drops out of the top 10. We'd have to trade one of our top players, ie Rice, Brooks, Booger AND a draft pick or two to move up far enough to get him.

Is there any possability of trading Rice and our first for a top ten pick?

I think it could happen. Rice is getting old, and white has proved to be a good player, so trade up and grab Mario williams or the next best player.

With Mario Williams and Kiwinakus on the board, i don't think a team would trade away a pick to get them for an older simeon rice
I don't think he's a bad player, but these two guys have extremely high potential, and you don't pass on them

The odds are 100:1 Mario Williams is a top 10 pick, maybe even #4 overall to the Jets if they want a replacement for Abraham. Mathias Kiwinuka (sp) will most likely go before us too.

As much as I want an OT I would not be upset or surprised if we cut Rice, use THAT money to sign a big FA OT, and trade up with the Jets and select him with the 4th.

I like that, but maybe the other way around. I'd sign a FA DE, i.e. Abraham, and trade up to get a Winston Justice or Eric Winston, maybe not the 4th overal pick, but a 10th-15th range.

Yes, but with the trade, you get a top 5 DE to fill a hole and another first round pick to fill another. This would work with teams that have tons of holes like the Jets or Raiders.

I dont think Oakland is an option bc they run a 3-4 unless they switched back. simeon would not do too good in that scheme. The Titans or Jets might be an option though. And if someone happened to nab him before us then that probably means A.J. Hawk or Vince Young would drop into our laps which wouldn't be bad either.

Chances are they will, Norv was fired and not many teams run a 3-4 D.

They've been running the 4-3 all season, every once in a while going 3-4, in that case, Sim would be an OLB.

Not bad. I could dig Abe. But I dont think we'll need to trade up. There are a handful of 1st round OTs, a god one will make it too us. Winston being the most likely one.

Only thing i pray for is Williams to have a horrible combine. Absolute monster player; no way he goes lower than top 10.
