This guy will be the most productive QB from this years draft. He has everything he needs to become one of the all time greats. Could be a steal if the draft were today, but not after the senior bowl and combines.

are u implying that we should draft him? i mean is Chris Simms not the long term answer?

It depends- if you want an answer that will make the Bucs competitive, then Simms is the guy. But if you want championships-Croyle is the man we need.

Yeah just what the NFL needs, a weak armed QB.

Obviously you don't pay much attention to things relating to football. Nobody who does would refer to this kids arm as weak - he can throw it 75+ yards.

This guy will be the most productive QB from this years draft. You have the correct conference, but the wrong team and player.

Signed,

Jay Cutler

They will go head to head at the senior bowl workouts and it will be obvious that Cutler (while a good QB) is not in the same league with Croyle.

What did Shula's inept offense (what a surprise) require him to do ever? He will be a career 3rd stringer in the NFL.

No bc Wuerffel actually started games for 2 different teams in the NFL. I am guessing Brodie won't get that opportunity even once yet alone twice.

i know you're making an arguement for cutler, and i agree, i definately think he's better than croyle

but the stats arguement, doesn't hold much weight

There wasn't a better college QB that was as big of a bust as Wuerffel. Heck, the guy was a heisman trophy winner and national champion.

Another ignorant wanna be -fanWell, to be honest mother Croyle....your son will make one pathetic NFL QB. You better hope he gets that degree at Bama to fall back on or you may never get him out of the house.

 Croyle actually has a pretty good arm. His problem this season had more to do with his accuracy. He was somewhat accurate, but he had D.J. Hall open downfield at least twice a game and just put too much on the ball. Then again, that Prothro injury clearly hurt him, and the protection broke down way too much late in the season(5 sacks and numerous pressures vs. LSU, 11 sacks vs. Auburn).

I really don't see where these knocks on his arm are coming from. If anything, it's one of his best attributes. The bigger concerns are his deep accuracy and of course his injury history.

Actually, the stats are very similar except for TD's and yards. I think both will be good, i just like Cutler's style of play better, and he's bigger so he can take more hits. And the rushing yards arent even close man.

Dont forget to mention Cutler did that a bad team, Vandy doesnt get the Top Level players Bama gets, Cutler is the better QB, Croyle has had an injury history, But Croyle has and arm and thats one of his best strengths.

Ordinarily Bama does get the top notch players, however, probation caused them to play this season with sub-par (and young) o-linemen. Croyle played under more pressure than Cutler AND led his team to 10 wins.

Even w/ subpar players, they could still beat Vandy
