With the 23rd overall selection in the 2006 NFL Draft the Bucs select.... It goes something like that. What side of the ball should we go for in the draft with our first rounder? Defense wins championships, but we have a weak O that always lets our team down, well not always but you know what I mean. Obviously, you can't predict what kind of crazy occurences.... well, occur... like let's say Winston Justice or Chad Greenway drop to our slot. BPA is te way to go, but pick which side you'd pick for YOU. I would go with O early, D late. Mainly OT, but if Santonio Holmes happens to still be on the board... then why not? We have great mentors on D, so if we pick late, they can learn from them for a season or two and then hopefully be ready to take over.

I agree, unless there's a franchise player in a position of need then i'd go BPA. Look at all the probowlers, most of them come from rounds 2-4. I'd like to see santonio holmes drop to us if we fix our OT problem in FA.

Santonio wouldn't be bad but I don't think he fits Gruden's style. He would look good in a Bucs Uni though.

Holmes would be a much, much younger Galloway or a Terry Glenn. It would replace the speed that Galloway will lose sometime soon.

With the 23rd pick, it would most likely be an OT. I like Jon Scott from Texas the best. He is very athletic a converted TE like Eric Winston. Great in both blocking phases of the game, pass and run.

Or I'd go with a CB. Jimmy Williams, Michael Huff, Tye Hill, Kelley Jennings and others could jump or fall to us at 23.

Gruden won't go OT, but if he did Scott or McNeil would be good ones

CB you'll project unless you plan on getting rid of 1 of our 2 starters in the next year or two... ;)

I'd like to see us go with a big man. Doesn't matter where. Best player available on either side of the ball. DE, OT, DT in that order.

But if Marcus McNeil falls to us at #23, I don't know how you pass on a 6'9 mauler.
