If we had this draft, our team could look like this...

QB- Chris Simms
RB- Cadillac Williams
FB- Lawrence Vickers
WR1- Joey Galloway
WR2- Michael Clayton
TE- Alex Smith
RT- Marcus McNeill
RG- Sean Mahan
C- John Wade
LG- Dan Buenning
LT- Anthony Davis

RDE- Manny Lawson
DT- Anthony Mcfarland
DT- Chris Hovan
LDE- Dewayne White
WLB- Derrick Brooks
MLB- Barrett Ruud
SLB- Marquis Cooper
RCB- Ronde Barber
LCB- Alan Zemaiitis
SS- Will Allen
FS- Jermaine Phillips

Players cut/lost:
Shelton Quarles
Greg Spires
Simeon Rice
Brian Kelly
Mike Alstott
Kenyatta Walker
Dexter Jackson
Brian Griese
Anthony Becht

I think this would get us under the cap and prepare us for the future.

Any thoughts??

I think this draft would address our offensive line which could spark our offense while it could maintain our defensive dominance.

A young, decent wide receiver via free-agency would be nice as well. (David Givens)

I'm also not really a fan of Wilkerson, I think Dale Robinson and Fred Roach fit our D better. I like Zemaitis, but he probably won't make it to our 3rd. And I doubt Williams would be there at the end of the draft, some team would take him before that and make him into a nice SS. Overall, I think we could do a lot better than this.

True, we would get a mountain of a man at RT, but the only thing it addresses is our inability to run to the right. We'd still have problems holding up in the middle(specifically Mahan) and our tackles would still get killed any time we attempted to pass.

Also, forget about maintaining our defensive dominance. Lawson would get run all over, he's best fit as a 3-4 OLB unless he can gain 20 lbs before TC. Even if we did draft him, he'd probably be like White was and be a situational pass rusher at most. And why is Cooper taking over for Nece?

Not bad, bro.

I'm flexable at this point on our 1st rounder as it's going to be hard this far out to project who might be there. But Marcus would be a wonderful choice and the fact he's blocked for Cadillac before they'd have a sense of comfort with each other.

The pick of yours I really like is Manny Lawson in the 2nd. He's still a very raw player at DE but he has something you can't teach...PURE SPEED. They can teach the technique and run support but you can't teach his kind of speed. If/when it's time to let Sim go, Lawson has that type of speed to continue that RDE speed rush that's important.

I also like Zemaitis at corner. He's one of those bigger 6-0+ corners that are able to handle the bigger receivers like Bolden was able to this year. Bolden played OK at nickle for the Bucs but his age and the fact he's a FA means a corner is a definate need.

Nice job overall.

Lawrence Vickers would be a great guy to have. I went to a CU game 1 timeand he was total bull-dozer. If Mike retires, than drafting Vickers would help big tme...

I'd like us to draft this guy, an amazing tackler that would be great for us in the Cover 2 scheme. Runs about a 4.44 and will probably be drafted as a late 2nd-early 3rd.

Agreed. EIther one looks like they can fit our system well. However Alan Zemaitis in the 3rd holds more value becuase to get Marshall I think we'd have to use our 2nd.

Sorry Marley I have to disagree with you on this one. I think Lawson goes to a team like Pittsburgh or New England because he is just not big enough to play in the 4-3. At his size and with his speed, he's a perfect OLB for a 3-4.

If we were to draft a DE, which in all probability, we will, I'm sure we would draft a player more in the mold of Kiwi out of of BC. Bigger at about 265 lbs and with a motor, the perfect player for the Tampa 2. At 23, I'm willing to bet that Tamba Hali will still be available.

My father played football at fresno, and he watches all thier games every year. And he's been sayin all year long that Marshall would be greta here, not only as a CB but as a return specialist as well. I 'd be happy w/ that draft, and just add like 10 lbs. to Lawson and he'd be great in our system.

Not all rookies drafted are going to start...they need time to grow...

...and why would we cut Spires??? or Kelly??? and what happened to Ryan Nece...Cooper is Brooks backup...Nece is the SLB

He's young and improves as each game goes by...and he is our ST captain...

...Cooper...Ruud...Nece...that is our LB for the future...

...unless of course by some miracle A.J. Hawk slips down to us in which case the necessary changes WILL be made...

...your welcome...

McNeill is an interesting prospect. He suffers from a spinal condition called Spinal Stenosis and can be thought of as soft and not much of a mauler. I have a feeling that he takes a dramatic fall and like Simms, we pick him up near the end of the first day.

I would love and hope to get marcus mcniel but in the second round i would also like to get davin joseph. Our oline would look pretty good then.

2 linebaclers, a fullback, and a highly undersized DE that cant stop the run.

I like your first pick, but have to differ with the rest.

Both your linebackers are too slow for the tampa 2, our MLB has to pass cover too often for a slower linbacker to handle.

A fullback in the 5th? Alstott may be back, we have cook, and razzanno again. Plus the unlimited amount of fullbacks that will go undrafted or get cut. Remember Chuck likes to use the FB conventionally, not as a second rb.

And your cb runs a 4.5, I would hope we would go after someone a little faster, more in the 4.35 to 4.4 range. Im tired of getting nurned by guys like smith and moss.

Two players that could REALLY improve our defense would be Antonio Cromartie and D'Qwell Jackson.

Dude, the reason why our corners get burned is because of the system...

We play a zone defense...

And, no body can cover Smith one on one in the NFL... No body...

Hey Th3, you can go ahead and add a 6th rounder to your mock.

We are way over the cap... I wouldn't be surprised if we lost Rice or Kelly just to improve our offense.

Gruden is focused on the offense...

I think it's time for Gruden to start focussing back on the defense now. We could use a OT (only when he can start right away), but I think we need some good young CB's (at least one in the first day).

I'd love to have 1 or 2 extra first day picks by trading Rice and/or Booger.
