I'll start by posting the rosters:
http://www.seniorbowl.com/2006/rosters.htm
Some very interesting heights and weights:
Lawson is down to 230lbs, so he is probably going to be forced to take the 3-4 OLB route.
Gilles is up to 358lbs confirming previous rumors. O'Callaghan and Lutui round out the big boys, each coming in at 363lbs and 375lbs respectively.
Bunkley is coming in pretty damn light and Dvoracek is coming in with some perfect size and skill to play as a UT for us. D'Quell, Hodge, Demeco and Thomas Howard all in came in with some prototypical size for our system.
Post any news, rumors or general ideas that you get about the Senior Bowl here.

How is it possible that the players that attended USC are playing for the north and those that sported the baby blue of UCLA are on the south squad?

I've been told that Lawson can flat out fly. Can he fit OLB in our system? At 230, he is the ideal size for an OLB in our scheme.

Maybe because the players don't like each other they put them on different teams.

Even if that is their reasoning, wouldn't it make more sense to have the Southern California guys play for the south then?

Actually, after the official weigh-in, Lutui has lost a dramatic amount of weight and is only 338 lbs.

Check out this quote:
"11:30am Just got out of the weigh-in and I am in the process of typing up all the results. Jon Gruden is at the next table talking someones ear off, I'm not sure the other guy can get a word in!"
Coach Gru at work...Love it.

Out of those linebackers mentioned, Demeco Ryans is the one that fits best and I don't think he'll fall to number 23 barring a sub-par combine/interview. Many of those linebackers only fit the 3-4 defense as an outside pass rusher.

Actually, there are plenty of guys that would fit our D. My favorite is D'Qwell Jackson, but there's also Greenway, Sims, Howard, McIntosh, Nicholson, etc... I have a feeling about Victor Adeyanju DE, Indiana. He's a flatout athlete, and can play the run well. Most of his stock is based on potential though, that's why he's predicted to go 3rd-4th round.

Just got back from watching an hour of the Senior Bowl practice. It was pretty cool, i was standing next to a scout from the Falcons watching him grade out the South's Offense.
A couple of notes:
1) Andre Hall of USF looked great. They had him returning KO's as well as running plays at RB. He looked quick and his legs are like a horse.
2) Winston from Miami. He was dominating people in his drills.
3) Sinorice Moss-The guy actually looks like he is in HS compared to everyone else. He's fast, but very, very short. Every pass Croyle, Hackney or Shockley threw to him seemed high, but on other WRs it would hit them in their chest. I do have to say though, I didn't see him drop a ball he could get to.
4) DBs-EVERY one seemed to have butter on their hands today, but looking at the group standing together, the CB from FSU physically looked awesome and he did make some tough catches.
I'll take my camera tomorrow and get some pics for you guys.

Ryans is one of the slower linebackers coming out of the draft and some people think he would fit best with a 3-4 defense. I much rather see Ernie Simms or Thomas Howard, people that can flat out fly.

Not really, he's actually a pretty nice fit as a 4-3 weakside LB. I believe Ryans ran a 4.63 which isn't that bad. Odell Thurman ran a 4.61 and he's not considered slow by any means. Besides, Ryans plays faster than his 40 time. Howard can flat out fly, but his play leaves a ton to be desired.

Brooks ran a 4.6 I believe coming out of college. ;)
