Thanks to the 2004 post TC trade of Jason Whittle to the Giants.

Per Pewter Report...

Bucs Give Up Sixth-Round Pick For QB Rattay

PewterReport.com has learned that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers surrendered a 2006 sixth-round draft pick to the San Francisco 49ers in the trade for quarterback Tim Rattay back in October of 2005.

However, the Bucs won’t be without a selection in the sixth-round of April’s draft thanks to the trade that sent guard Jason Whittle to the New York Giants back in 2004. The Bucs own the Giants’ sixth-round pick in the 2006 NFL Draft.

We got a 7th rounder in the 2005 draft for him and because he played a certain percentage of the offensive snaps for the Giants in 2004, as part of the trade agreement, the Bucs then get NY's 2006 6th rounder. I mention this because in many of the mocks I've seen, the 6th rounder has been left out as most of us assumed the Bucs didn't have one due to the October Rattay trade.

There's also some other news and notes from the first day of the Senior Bowl week.

So did we trade away our own 6th round pick, or did we trade the NY 6th round pick away? I know its only a few spots higher, just curious...
