Can someone give me an update on the recruiting class of 2006? Who the top players are coming out of High School and where they're probably going to go?

You're talking about Cordera Eason. He is committed to Ole Miss. He's got very nice size at 6 feet 235 lbs. He may end up being a fullback though.

Can't estimate at all, I've never seen him play. At 135 though, I don't care what he's done in HS, he better gain about 50 lbs, or become a kicker.

Not to rain on your parade but he is Fred Rouse version 2.0. Seriously he has a lot of baggage but with his size/speed he is like a Steve Smith on the field. I can't wait until he comes across the middle and gets jacked up by Myron Rolle..

Its nice to have a good class but its kind of overrated.. I mean look at FSU last year we were number 2 behind USC barely..
Callahan Bright was the best DT in the nation- Did not make it grades..
Fred Rouse-Number one WR- Just got booted.
Matt Hardick- Top 5 OG- Did not make it becuase grades.
Justin Mincey- Top 5 DE- Did not make it grades.
I just hope you UF fans end up with kids that have higher standards off the field.. Though Hardrick and Mincey are coming to FSU this year..

Desean Jackson also had some baggage. He's doing great at Cal. Just because Rouse failed, that doesn't mean Harvin will. As for Myron Rolle, he better hope he never matches up on Harvin. Rolle couldn't cover a chair. I think his best option is to bulk up a little bit and play LB.

He's taller than Steve. Harvin is about 6' 185 lbs. Another comparison I've heard concerning Harvin is Derrick Williams, who was the great freshman WR at Penn State this past season.

6 ft 235 is a nice size...could be a good power back if hes got speed and some moves.

HAHA and Maybe Percy will learn how to not fumble the football every time.. I mean I know it was an All-Star Game but 2 touches-2 fumbles and when he went on punt returns he looked like he was ****ing himself.. We'll looks like Mcdaniel is coming to FSU!!
P.S. don't kid yourself.. If Rolle didn't commit so early he would still be the number 1 recruit in the Nation.

Ummm, Rolle is probably going to be a safety, so why would he match up against a WR, especially a small and fast WR, when there's guys like Tony Carter and Michael Ray Garvin who are both really fast corners with solid ball skills?
And by the way, tomorrow is signing day, and i'm going to make a prediction that FSU ends up in the top 3 as far as recruiting classes go. And don't say they're nowhere near that right now, because its the same story ever year. They're far off, then on signing day, they all end up switching and saying FSU.
edit- i had to change my prediction, seeing as how they're 6th right now, so they'll be top 3 by the end of tomorrow

I never said he was a corner. A safety can match up in man against a WR especially when the opposing team is running a spread formation with multiple WR sets. BTW, I never said Rolle was a bad prospect. He's an excellent prospect. He is just bad in coverage. I think he could be dominant as a LB.
As for FSU's class, they're 6th on Rivals. Anything on FSU from Rivals is unworthy. Renegade Report is superior as far as objectivity. Gene "Dot Com" Williams is absolutely ridiculous in his bias on Warchant. It's a shame he has as much pull on Rivals that he does.

He will barely ever be in a situation to cover man to man seeing as how FSU runs the 2 deep safety alot. Unless he's red-shirted, you should see him and roger williams as the starting safeties for FSU next year. But thats still up in the air since we've got not only Myron Rolle coming in, but D'Vontrey Richardson and Anthony Leon are both supposed to be choosing FSU, which could rattle up that safety position, but thats what Mickey Andrews wants, depth at every position on defense so he can do his substitutions
And like i said earlier, i'm having good feelings bout FSU getting alot more solid recruits than they have right now, and expect a few who have verbally commited elsewhere, to sign with FSU

Hardrick and Mincey both went to Prep Schools, and are headed back to FSU
I thought Bright was coming back with Hardrick and Mincey, but he dropped out of Prep school so FSU pulled their scholarship off the table for him

Hey Nolesfan, CJ Spiller just signed with Clemson. I'm a huge FSU fan as well, so i'm highly disappointed. I don't think our recruiting class will be in the top 5 this year unfortunately. I'm really upset with the whole Rouse situation. Seems like the top recruits we do get generally either get kicked out or don't qualify academically. I think Bowden and his staff have really start to slide over the past 5-6 years. We def. aren't getting the players we once did. I hope you are right about them stealing some top recruits cuz we aren't in a great position right now.

i'm upset to see that Spiller isn't a Nole, but we still have booker for a year and then we've got Antone Smith who was a top RB recruit last year, plus Jamaal Edwards has looked pretty good too.
We've got a solid class coming in too, i'm very impressed with the amount of DBs we've brought in

I'm not very impressed with any of the backs we have currently. Booker has a lot of talent but never really breaks one open like he should. I really thought he could be our next Dunn but he just seems to go backwards mostly. Smith gets jammed at the line consistently, and havent seen much of Edwards. We really needed to land several big time OLinemen. THat was the biggest problem on the team through injuries and players not qualifying. Also the WRs don't get open enough. Thats why i think losing Rouse was such a big deal. He was the one that we had that probably had the ability to get open. Carr and ***g are just big possesion WRs... not really speedy guys. O'Neal is so weak to get seperation. We really need to get a great WR in this class. We are really hurting not at LB as well, with Nicholson and Sims gone. Our team is really going to be hurting this year. We lost all of our experience, which is hard when we were already one of the youngest teams in the country. The scary part is i really see Rouse as being the next Randy Moss at FSU, gets kicked off and then goes some where else and becomes a HUGE star. We just have terrible luck with kids at FSU.

I meant it was VH who burned Rolle...But I was wrong anyway, as they were on the same team obviously...
VH was burning somebody though..all game..And maybe it was J. Holland for the west (who did that to Rolle)..I don't know..In any event, I know VH is a WR.

Thats alright.. WE don't really need Spiller.. Antone will be special.. WE should not judge him yet, he only had like 30 carries but averged over 5 per. Anyways we are now going to get a blue-chip RB next year.
Here are my top 3
John Clay- http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=73&p=8&c=1&nid=1921947
Noel Devine- http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=73&p=8&c=1&nid=2392416
Chris Rainey- http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=73&p=8&c=1&nid=1778952
I think Devine goes to Miami, Clay to Michigan, and Rainey follows the Pouncey twins and brown to FSU.. Geez scout.com is a joke and is loosing more cred.. They have Rainey running a 4.5-40 when he runs a 4.29-40
Also Josh Nesbitt will be heading to Tallahassee- http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=73&p=8&c=1&nid=1737590

I trust Scout when it comes to the Noles recruiting because Warchant is ridiculously biased and somehow has way too much pull in the rankings, whether it is Gene Williams, who runs Warchant, or not. For just about everyother team, I favor Rivals rankings. It just amazes me how when someone gets recruitied by the Noles and they show serious interest in going to FSU, they skyrocket up the Rivals rankings. Like how Daron Rose out of nowhere emerged from a decent 4 star prospect into th 2nd best tackle, 5th best OL, and 30th best player in the nation. It happens time and time again. Those guys you mentioned are prime examples. I'd be alright with them if those guys were ranked that high before they showed great interest in FSU, but they usually aren't. Take off your Garnet & Gold shades and you'd clearly see this. I view all of this from a neutral setting, as I'm a UCF fan, but I like to follow recruiting of the Big 3.

And its called these players get Reconized in Shine Games ect.. through weeks of dominating.. Players missed by recruiters go on the big stage.. Note- "Bud Thacker... And, if a FSU mod runs there ranking why doesn't the UCF mod rank UCF #1.. I mean thats the claim your making..

Funny how all the Major Publications had us top ten and even the FSU hater Lemming has us nine but Joke, woops, I mean Scout.com punks us.
Shouldn't your handle be spelled "D'Qwell"?

I hope your kidding. Scout.com has Ochuko Jenije unrated which is a joke. He is easily a top 15 CB in the Nation even better than P-ROB.. Also they have Recardo Wright and Bud Thacker unrated, both are top 10-15 at there positions respectively... There site is a joke.. Are they kidding, OMG Preston Parker is not even a top 50 WR and is only 3 stars?? HE maybe the best WR in the state.. Also Damon Mcdaniel not a top 5-10 WR?? LOL and Brandon

Same post, I can do that too:
I also never said all mods rank their team #1. I said someone on Warchant, possibly Gene Williams since he runs that place, has way too much pull in Rivals rankings. But nice job twisting my words though.
Thacker might have had a good CaliFlorida Bowl but so did many other players like Dustin Doe, Tim Tebow, Billy Lowe, and Colin McCarthy. Those others, who interestingly enough aren't going to FSU, didn't skyrocket up the rankings. Another interesting note is that Tebow also had an excellent Army All-American game, yet he has since dropped in Rivals rankings. Obviously, I know player movement in the rankings happens. What I'm questioning is how just about every player who shows serious interest in FSU suddenly jumps up in Rivals rankings.
