If you were in houstons position who would you pick/or trade down for?

I'd say trade down and gun for D'Brick.

Draft Bush, bad team or not, he will sell tickets.

There you go, draft to sell tickets.....

Not to mention their problem hasn't been attendance, it's been winning games. I'd trade down and try to get D'Brick or Williams.

You're right, attendance isn't there problem. The thing is, Reggie Bush has the potential to be so good that people would cry foul if they passed on him and he went on to become one of the best running backs ever, regardless of how much bigger of a need O-Line is. The Texans would be a laughing stock if they passed on him and he ends up every bit as good as he's being hyped.

Sure, D'Brick is the most logical pick, but when you have a guy with the potential of Bush, I don't think you can really pass on that. A two-back system certainly isn't a bad thing and he's still a 1st-round talent as simply a wide receiver. Just to note, I don't think Bush will be the next Barry Sanders. However, there's simply too much potential and too much talent to pass on him. Could be a once in a lifetime player.

If you look at it the other way though if they draft him and he is a bust they will look just as stupid for believing the hype and drafting a position they were already set at. Davis is a very good back and Bush is wanting too much money to keep both. Why not trade down get a player that actually fills a major hole that would open up their offense a little more, and get quite a few additional picks with it. They could possibly receive 3-4 more day 1 picks for that pick and that would help them way more then even if Bush does fulfill his potential

Just to clarify something up, do you mean what do we think Houston should do or what would the Buccaneers do if they had the #1 pick?

Actually both are in a similar situation. They are both are set at RB and have holes on the Oline. The Bucs could actually use him as a returner though.

True..very good point. However, they could always trade Davis and get an extra pick if they chose, not to mention there will be solid OL prospects as late as the fourth round. Bush's talent is too good to pass on.

I think the Texans have far too many needs to take him. This deep of a draft I personally would take as many 1st day picks as possible. If it was last years draft I would consider Bush because of the potential he has.

If they did this right, the Texans could bully the jets into trading hteir two first round picks, ans well as a second and 4th-5th.

at four they could take either Williams or D'brick....or AJ Hawk if they are both gone...maybe even vernon davis

or just be happy with Reggie Bush :D

Trading Davis wouldn't help them much, there aren't a whole lot of teams looking for feature backs. And as Travis Henry proved, even a productive back isn't worth all that much. Bush on the other hand is worth an Eli Manning-esque ransom.

only logical choice is d'brick, or young at 1. if they trade to say 6, then justice of hawk.

If they could, trade down to about 4. Then take Williams, Ferguson or Hawk (in that order), and a WR with the other 1st round pick they'd get in return. Then go WR in the 2nd round and fill up the trenches the rest of the way.

I agree, but with Williams behind Ferguson. And what's with the 2 early WRs? I'd go OT, DE, LB in any order. Maybe a guard. Especially with the weak WR class.

Bush is perfect for the Texans he will not have to carry the entire load of the team with him and DD, they have a very good chance of having the best back field for years to come, not to mention the tickets they will sell. IMO if they dont wont Bush, do like the Chargers did with Manning. Draft him and trade him for a ton of picks.

Bush may be a perfect compliment to DD but he will be wanting a little more money than what a change of pace back would generally receive. If the Texans didn't have as many holes it would be a perfect fit but with all the buzz around Bush they could fill most of their needs in this draft.

Why don't they find out what Sam Bowie is doing, I hear he's looking for another chance...

If they can't trade down, I would take Williams.
