Just a hypothetical to see the response
Bucs are on the clock at 23
The options are as follows:
Trade down to the Jets for their 1st, 4th and 5th @ 29, 103, 138
Players still available are:
Vince Young
Manny Lawson
Antonio Cromartie
Davin Joseph
Mathias Kiwianuka

With Vince Young still available someone will trade more than 4th rounder to move up...or I would suggest taking him.

It would cost more than an extra 4th and 5th, more like a 3rd, 4th, and 6th, then maybe, then again, if ii meant not having to take Young, I might just trade them picks even up, let them take young, and be screwed worse than the falcons are for the next 10 years.

Will could we please come up with a more reasonable list no way Young falls past all those teams including the Cheifs who need a QB of the future. In the end if we take BPA Young would be a Buc.

I would pick Lawson in a second. This guy is going to be so good. If we draft I hope he starts at LOLB or DE. He runs his forty in 4.41 AND HES A DE!!!!

According to the Value pick chart that would be a fair trade value wise. I'd still pass on Young. Not a huge fan. I'd also be surprised if he falls that far.
My pick would be Manny Lawson. Awesome talent with a huge motor. Never stops playing.

Well, according to the value chart, 10 3rd round picks would be equal to the #1 overall pick....I doubt any team would ever take 10 picks in the 3rd round for that...Even if the numbers match..

Manny Lawson at #23 would be a nice start to the draft.

cromartie from fsu, jason allen, or jonathan joseph we need a nickel if we don't get woodson, plus allen could play safety as well

Allen got ran over way to much in college to play safety, if he has good hands, keep him at corner, but I personally would rather look in a nother direction instead of picking allen up.

wasnt everybody suprised last year when a second qb wasnt drafted until the twenty first pick??? and i know this draft class is better. theres so much hype from espn and all that **** that we forget stuff. before the rose bowl young wasnt anywhere near the top of a draft board. one game shouldnt change that fatc. he's not brady for destroying a defense that every other ncaa team was scorching as well. i think its very possible for him to slip. plus we still have quality quarterbacks in free agency that could be on the move prior to and on draft day. anything could happen

for Vince Young to be there lightning would have to strike about a 1000 times..
but if he is, there is absolutely no way in hell we take anyone else. with the luxury of letting him develop and not forcing him, and gruden the guru teaching him.........................OMG!!!!!!!!! this would be the biggest shakeup in the whole draft.
our offense is one of a VERY few taht could be easily tweaked to Youngs strength

The absolute lowest I could seeYoung falling is 17 to the Vikings. Even that would take a lot a miracle in my opinion. But who knows?

I want to pick Barber's legacy with this one and draft Cromartie. Talent like this doesn't come along every year. Or as gil Brandt would put it...
Antonio Cromartie, Florida State (6-2 1/8, 208, 4.49)
Cromartie had a complete workout at the Combine, running his 40s in 4.47 and 4.52 with tight legs. He had a 38-inch vertical jump and an 11-foot long jump. He worked out again on March 16 at Florida State's Pro Day and ran 4.43 and 4.46 in the 40 with a 3.98 short shuttle and a 7.03 three-cone drill. Cromartie played wide receiver and cornerback in high school, was a star sprinter on the track team and started for the basketball team. He was the USA Today Defensive Player of the Year after his senior year in high school. Cromartie played as a true freshman at Florida State in 2003. He played as a nickelback in 2004 and missed all of 2005 with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. Cromartie is a big cornerback with great ball skills and has exceptional athletic ability for his size. He is a young player, turning 22 years old this April. He has the talent to be a Pro Bowl player, but there are questions about whether he is too big to play corner and will the knee injury affect his play in the future.

Trade down with the Jets. Then take Kiwi there. Take an OT in the 2nd round, and with the 3rd, and 2-4th rounders go CB, OG and DT.

Yeah, tweaking to the QB worked great in Atlanta didn't it?
Young sucks, he's got scrambling ability, that's it. He throws with a sidearm style that does NOT work in the nfl. He's already said he doesn't want to learn a new style, probably because he isn't smart enoiugh to, considering it took him twice to score a 16 on the wonderlic test. There's no way he will be able to learn Gruden's offense, he's just not smart enough.
