You thought Final Fantasy XII was a waste of time? I thought it was the best in the series. I will agree with all after XII sucking. I have have not played Tactics, so I cannot say anything about it.
Well, I'll assume you mean 7 (VII) and not 12 (XII). Yes, I didn't like FF7. I don't like teen angst along with a lackluster story, not to mention characters that weren't strong. Yes, FF7, FF8, and FF9 were all average storys and were pretty much teen angst fests that left me no desire character wise, although I did like 10's storyline, despite the character being annoying and having no depth.

Though I have a strong affinity for 6 (IMO, best villian and the best characters), Final Fantasy Tactics has by far the best story. It had everything you wanted. It was the ideal RPG and the fact that the gameplay was very strong made it damn near perfection.

2. Starcraft(PC) - Defined what a RTS game should be. Still popular to this day
3. Earthbound(SNES) - Possibly the most underrated game of all time. Brilliant storyline
4. Megaman 2(NES) - Innovative game with a beautiful soundtrack and great gameplay.

Multiplayer Battletech (Solaris & 3025) - Taught me that despite poor graphics, an online community and great gameplay can become incredibly addictive
Mechwarrior 2 (Original & Mercenaries) - I consider this the game that indoctrinated me into gaming
Halo - Set the standard of quality for the next generation of gaming
Half Life - Very few games have had nearly the impact on gaming that Half Life did. It spawned Team Fortress and Counter Strike, two of the most popular FPS ever. HL2 in particular was amazing.
Goldeneye 007 - One of those games that just never comes out of the console until you have perfected it.
ESPN NFL 2k5 - How a football sim SHOULD be.
Supreme Commander - Just started playing this a few weeks ago, but I think it is easily the most complete RTS ever. I think it tops Total Annihilation.
Freelancer - Highly underrated space sim. Not the best of its class, but I constantly found myself reinstalling it to start it all over.
Oblivion - Still, the only RPG I actually enjoy (Maybe cuz it lets me actually slash people)

I still play Freelancer online. :cool: It's a great game. Personally, I think a developer should make a space MMO and draw from Freelancer's controls and game design.

You should because ES 4 kills Morrowind. Anyway, my list.

1. Elder scrolls 4 Oblivian
The best video game I have ever played bar none. I played 300 hours the first time withour even thinking about the stpry line. You could play this game 4 hours a day for 4 months before you even think about playing another game.
2. ES 3 Morrowind
Another great RPG. 75% as good as ES4.
3. Halo 1
Fantastic Game. It is the game that all other shooters are compared to.
4. Halo 2
Microsoft made Halo 2 better than 1, and that doesn't usually happen.
5.WoW or sniper Elite

Both games were fun for me. I refused to become entranced in WoW like some, and if you like sniping, Sniper Elite is the best Sniper game ever.
