View Full Version : I'm too deep at RB...

Ok, so I'm in a little bit of a bind here. I have 5 great RBs and I can't decide which 3 to start. My RBs and their matchups this week are:

E. James @ SEA
S. Jackson @ SF
F. Gore vs STL
J. Lewis vs OAK
C. Taylor vs CAR

I'm definitely going to start Jackson, and I'm almost certain I'll start Gore. Now, I'm trying to figure out which of the remaining three to stick into the flex spot. I'm all about playing matchups, and if I went by that, I'd have to say Jamal Lewis. I like Edge, but I don't like him going to Seattle. While I know he'll get receptions, my league is not a PPR one, so that's not that big of a deal. Even though Edge was my first round pick, I have no problem benching him if other players have better matchups. Taylor is obviously going to be Minnesota's workhorse, but I'm not sure I trust him yet. So, my question is, who would you start in the WR/RB spot? James, Lewis, or Taylor? Thanks!

Thats a tough one there. I would say it's a toss up between Lewis and Taylor. My gut says Lewis but Taylor could have a field day against Carolina.

I'd go with Edge. He's a great RB, and will beat out the matchup. That, and I don't trust either Taylor or Lewis yet.

Steven Jackson should be a given against the 49ers.

Jamal Lewis ran against us well last week. Against Oakland, he could tear it up. Start him.

Frank Gore should be your third, since he has done well recently and he is facing the weakest of the remaining defenses.

Jamal Lewis.

Edge is no longer a great fantasy RB. And I especially wouldn't start him against one of the best run defenses in the NFL.

Jackson
Gore
Lewis

Jackson
Lewis
Taylor

CAR averaged 4.0 ypc vs the run. Lewis is going against OAK, 'nuff said there.

Gore.. he played against the Card's D, look at what STL's D did vs Denver's vaunted rushing scheme. Their O struggled all game and forced Denver to throw the ball (3 Plummer INT's).

Taylor looked good against the Redskins, who have one of the best run D's in the NFL.

The Rams gave up 161 yards on 25 carries (6.4 yard avg.)

It was the pass defense that played well, the run D looked like crap.

My bad. I watched some of that game from the bar, spinning around to watch each of every game. I guess I only saw the Rams game when T. Bell only got a couple yards on a carry.. Just goes to show, it probably is a good idea to check the stats on almost everything you post. The one time I don't check, I get burnt, lol.

Either way, Wilkins was a stud for me last week. :D
