I have a chance to trade LaMont Jordan for Corey Dillon. Should I pick up Dillon ?

I'd do it in a heartbeat. I don't expect as much of a punch out of NE's passing attack this year so expect more from their running game with Dillon even though Maroney will get a few carries a game.

Tough decision here. Jordan plays for an obviously poor offense led by a poor quarterback. Despite his playmaking ability, Jordan will struggle against the tough defenses the Raiders will face this year.

Last week, the Patriots showed they could run the ball very well, but if I'm an owner of Dillon, I'm worried about the carries Maroney was getting and will get.

If you can, try to wait until you see what happens this week. If Jordan isn't targeted more or the Raiders offense just isn't on the field that much, do it.

I'm trying to get Maroney as well. Thats one thing that scares me. He looked good last week and might end up getting more carries than Dillon.

I'm not sold on Jordan and the Raiders offensive line. But then again it's only been 1 week.

It's good to see you recognize that it has only been one week. Give Jordan another chance or two, and if the trade is still there and he's still not performing, go for it.

Maroney will not get more carries this season than Dillon unless he gets hurt (knock on wood). Also, it's a big no-no to have two backs from the same team in my opinion. It's a waste of a roster spot that can go to a back that doesn't split carries and has a chance of putting up better numbers. Unless you feel he's going to mirror Stephen Davis' performance of last year, don't bother.

Well they are splitting time and that can be scary if Maroney starts outperforming Dillon. I guess I'll hold off and see what happens. But to me Trading Jordan to get Dillon sounds really good to me.

Dillon is my number 2 back and I am really not too happy about what happened last Sunday. Maroney got a ton of carries. If It were more like 23 to 10 I'd feel much better. If Dillon was more than 5 pounds heavier than LM I'd feel better too. I can see them splitting goal line carries too. I have been actively pursuing a trade for a better number 2 back, but to no avail.

If you can get Maroney it might be worth it. I'de hold on to Jordan for a few more weeks and try to get Maroney if he's not on someone's roster already.

Oakland may have looked horrible on Monday and they play the Ravens this week, but they do eventually play CLE, SF, ARI, HOU, NYJ, and KC twice. Those are all games that have good potential for Oak's O to score at least 2 TD's.
