View Full Version : QB/RB Dilemma

All three of my quarterbacks have favorable matchups this week, and I'm not sure who I want to start. I can start two of the following three:

Tom Brady (@ the Jets)
Matt Hasselbeck (@ Home vs the Cardinals)
Steve McNair (@ Home vs Oakland)

All three of these pass defenses are pretty bad, so I'm not sure who i want to start. My fantasy updates list Brady as Probable, but I can't find any specifics on his injury. He's also lost Deion Branch, and I don't know who his other recievers are.

I can start two of my four running backs, so I'm having trouble deciding who my second starter is going to be (LT against the Titans = definite start). My options for my second starter are as follows:

Mike Bell (@ Home vs the Chiefs)
Willie Parker (@ the Jaguars)
Fred Taylor (@ Home vs the Steelers)

All three are playing against good run defenses, and all three are slated to split some time with their team's other backs. I took a chance with Mike Bell in week one and it payed off (14 points) but, according to my fantasy updates, Tatum Bell is the starter and Mike Bell is probable with a hand injury. Fred Taylor got 17 points last week against Dallas (I picked him up after week one. I dropped Joseph Addai to get him.), and seems to be doing pretty good, but the Steelers have a great defense. I'm sure he'll be getting the short runs at the goal line, which should lead to more touchdowns for him. I'm unfamiliar with the Steeler's RB situation, so I can't really comment there.

Does anyone have any suggestions or comments for either of these scenarios? Any advice is appreciated. :)

tough choice on QBs. Its too even to call an obvious start. As for RBs, I'd go with Parker. I'm pretty high on this guy. Mike Bell is hurt, but will play and is not the starter. I never recommend Fragile Fred, esp against the Steelers.

Well, you do have tough choices. I can tell you what not to do though:

Don't bench Hassleback.

Chiefs | Fast fact: Broncos run all over team in Denver

Bob Gretz, of KCChiefs.com, reports the Denver Broncos have averaged 217 rushing yards at home the last five seasons versus the Kansas City Chiefs.

Willie Parker sounds like the best start, but the Jags run D is great despite what they gave up to the Cowboys. Then again, it's not like the Steelers have chump change for an OL like we do.

Parker is probably your best bet, but that is a nice tid bit concerning DEN v KC.
