Good advice, but some think Mack Strong is the better pick up because of the goal line carries that he will get... Just food for thought.

I wouldn't grab any of them. alexander hasn't been able to run at all, so what makes you think their back up rb and starting fb can. you're banking on them getting goaline carries, which would be 6 pts for 1 td in most leagues. if you drafted well, you should have a back-up who can easily do better.

Come on man, I think it goes without saying that you don't drop Jamal Lewis to pick up these guys... You would only pick them up if you are in deep leagues and need RB help...! I picked up Strong in a 14 team league as my #4 or 5 RB... :grinyes:

I really do not see more in him than a flex player. He will likely just start 2 or 3 weeks, and one of them will be against Chicago. Plus the Hawks will probably run more 4 WR sets with Strong as the only RB, which further decreases Morris' value.
I picked him up in just one league, ignoring the chance to get him in 2 other leagues too, but was able to pick up Colston, who someone dropped for Morris :D

I'm not grabbing him. He has got a tough match up this week and then a bye the following week. He'll get very little yards and Alexander will be back.

He was drafted in my league actually. Another RB worth having on your roster right now is Michael Robinson SF. Gore is dinged and will probably get less carries.

I guess I need to say that the advise to pick up these guys that we are discussing is ONLY as insurance and only applies in certain leagues. Just like this guy did with Gore, he got his back up Robinson in case Gore goes down. I would have never drafted Morris or Strong, but I grabbed Strong when Alexander went down as a BACK UP. I may never start him all season, but he is there in case one of my guys goes down or I get into trouble on bye weeks.
As for any advice given in these boards, do your own research before you start dropping your guys because someone in here says to "grab someone quick". The advice typically only applies in leagues of 12 teams or more. You don't need Robinson or Strong in a league where starters or more talented back ups are probably sitting on the wire.

Actually, it depends on the limit of your roster and your rules regarding your waiver wire.
I have a large roster, 27 player roster in a 12 team league. The waiver wire is free. Because of your large roster, 2-8 players you drafted might not be doing anything while there are FA's that are.
I wouldn't advise in dropping any player that is obviously outscoring this player or is a starter. If you have room on your roster, some of these players wouldn't be a bad pick up if they are still out there.
Greg Jennings probably isn't a FA in most leagues, but if he's still a FA in your league I would pick him up quick. The Packers throw the ball a ton, Favre easily finds other WR's on the field, and Jennings has been producing all season.

Fair enough. You took it to the next level. Good advice.
