Ok, so I've got either Deuce McAllister vs. Carolina or Kevin Jones vs. St. Louis. I'm leaning towards Deuce, but Jones had a very nice game on Sunday. Any advice?

Even Edge had a good day with a bad OL vs the Rams. Start Jones, he's the best option.

Depends on your league scoring. If you get points for receptions, start Jones. Otherwise, its a toss up. If it were me in a league that doesn't award rec points, I'd probaby still go with Jones. Bush will continue to eat into Deuce's numbers...

Should I start:

Edge vs. Atlanta or
Julius Jones vs. Tennessee

I know Jones has the better matchup, but I like Edge. Thoughts?

Edit: Also, should I start:
Grossman vs. Sea
Pennington vs. Ind
Bledsoe vs. Tenn (if I did that, I would sit Julius Jones)

Thread-Jacking: When you take over someone elses post with your own, new topic. It's considered bad etiquitte. Next time, start your own thread! Since I've gone this far, go with Jones and Pennington. You'll win.

It's not a big deal anyway, it happens in nearly every thread in the Team Discussions forum..

I'de start Pennington, actually, I am starting Pennington over Hasselback vs the Chicago D.

The other 2 Jones's besides Thomas are a good start this week.

Deuce is up against a pretty good D, and he's sharing carries. Jones is up against a terrible D....Jones is an easy call here, in-fact he should be starting over Deuce every week.

Jones is the obvious choice over Edge, like I said in my previous post, it should be like that every week...let alone a week where Jones is going up against a bad D and Edge is playing a good D. I don' tknow why people still consider Edge to be a good fantasy back...he'll be lucky to break 100 yards at all this season behind that OL.

As for the QB's...call me a homer, but I wouldn't start anyone against Seattle. Pennington however is facing a D that let David Carr throw for 219 and 3 TDs, completing 84% of his passes. Bledsoe is out of the question, not just because you are (or should) start Jones, but also because he's terrible.

How is it a new topic? The title of the thread is "Who to start week 4." Instead of starting my own thread and further cluttering the board, I figured I would just post my own question here since it is the same topic but for a different team. We don't need 100 fantasy threads a week, we can share threads.

However, I do thank you and everyone else who answered my question. I am going with Jones and Pennington. And XTrent, I still think Edge is a good fantasy back because he's averaging 12.7 points a week in my league, better than Jones so far. He may not get the yards, but he gets the TDs. That may change with time, but for now he's still a good fantasy back.

Fair enough SS. I'll lighten up.

And Jones is averging 12.5....the difference is Jones will get better. Edge isn't going to get 94 yards a TD every week, he has 2, maybe 3 more games like that left (SF, Stl, Oak).

It's sad when a 94 yard 1 TD game is inflating a RB's numbers.

One of the reasons I like Edge for fantasy football is because of the weak divission he's in. That's 4 big games a year at least. And even against tougher opponents, he's still good for some points. And he was my second round pick.

Well, he's already had 2 of those 4 "big" games, and they weren't that big. If that's all he can muster against the 49'ers and Rams, he's in trouble against real defenses.

Probably, but I selected him with the 19th pick of the draft pre-season, and at that spot, I couldn't pass on the guy. And if he doesn't keep up the good work, Julius Jones can step into his spot on the roster and do just fine.

I'm happy I went with Jones, he got more than double the points that Edge got. However, Pennington did the worst of my 3 QBs. Grossman and Bledsoe both would've been better starts. I think I'm going to make Grossman my official starter unless Pennington faces a really good matchup. I still don't trust Bledsoe.
