I looked for a thread about this to no success. I have a friend who recently got Knology, and was trying to hook up his xbox to Live again. Didn't work. We called 18004myxbox, and he got someone on the phone who wasn't very helpful. First she demanded he give the phone # he gave when setting up his Live account. I don't seem to remember that, but it's besides the point, except for the fact that she didn't seem to know what she was talking about. He tried explaining to her over and over he already had an account he was trying to renew, and we couldn't get the IP address to ring through to the xbox after the adapter was confirmed. This is rare because anytime i have tried to call them i have ALWAYS gotten perfect assistance, and always seemed to have someone who knew what they were talking about.

After about 20 minutes of bickering and trying this and that, she just says, oh yeah Knology doesn't work with Xbox Live. We were like, thx for the waste of our time and hung up. so we called Knology and they said, sure it works with the Live service. They didn't know how to walk through it with us though. I've done it many times before with a rep and also know there is a way to repair the IP address through the Xbox, by a certain button sequence on the edit settings screen in the maintenance part.

My question is.. do any of you have Knology that play on Live? Yes it's broadband, ofcourse. I would like to know if this rep from Live was just fed up and wanting to get him off the phone, because that was pretty crappy what she did, not like i could do anything about it anyways... (btw, we tried asking her to just put us through to a hardware tech and she declined. :mad: )

I don't have it, but I'm sure it works.

Sometimes when you call 18004myxbox, you get a jack-*** that either can't speak English, or just has no idea when they're talking about. I suggest you call back, if you get the same person, hang up and call again until you get someone else.

Your in LUCK! I have Knology and have a Xbox 360 with Live and it works fine...I do notice though when in rooms that show your ping...you know the colored bars usually 1-3 or 1-4. Out of 12 ppl in the room I usually have the lowest number of bars. If you need any assistance in setting up your live account I will be glad to walk you through step by step. I work in IT (computers) so I know what I'm talking about unlike the support from xbox customer support.

I've actually had quite a bit of success with Xbox customer support. I guess I just ran into the right people at the right times, but considering I'm on my 3rd 360 due to malfunctions, I've talked to quite a few. After my last repair problem, they felt so bad that they gave me a free game too...PGR3.

I've been lucky that ive had no problems. Although, I did have a time last week where it just shut off on me twice in 20 minutes. The problem hasnt reoccured but did enough to scare me. Im not patient. If i have to send it in to get fixed, I will be very ****ed off.
