I'm in the playoffs of my 12-team league and I need help with who to start at RB, Defense, and maybe even WR. Here's my team and my options:
QB: Michael Vick
RBs (2): Rudi Johnson, Steven Jackson, Reggie Bush, Maurice Jones-Drew
WRs (2): Torry Holt, Anquan Boldin, TJ Houshmanzadeh
TE: Antonio Gates
K: Robbie Gould
D/ST (1): Raiders, Chiefs
I lock Rudi in because he's playing the Colts, but I'm torn between Jackson who faces the tough Raiders D, and Bush, who's been hot and faces the big-play vulnerable Redskins. Who's my second back this week?
WR is a crapshoot, IMO, but I have a tough choice on D. Raiders get the Rams, but have been playing well. Chiefs get the Chargers in San Diego.
For the record, my opponent has this team:
Philip Rivers
LT, Tatum Bell
Fitzgerald, Wayne
McMichael
Josh Brown
Chargers
I'm in 1st place, can you believe I drew this opponent? He was the wild-card...absurd.

Go with Jackson, he's been doing well all season, and I personally don't trust Reggie Bush yet. I would say Maurice Drew is even a potential starter for you.
For defense I'd go with the Raiders, because you just don't put up a defense against Tomlinson, it doesn't work.
With WR, I'd go Holt and Boldin, but Housh isn't a bad pick.

come on man - don't get weak knees at this point. Steven Jackson is your huckleberry! He'll put up the points of a RB and of a WR all in one! Play him especially if you get point for receptions... 3d choice would be MJD with Bell last.
Gotta go with Housh against the horrid Colts D and I'd play Holt over Bolquin and the Denver D.
Don't start any def against LT (esp when you play LT!), so I'd sit your KC Defense and let OAK take a shot against the Rams.
Do this and you'll win.

I'm hesitant to start Jackson because the Raiders' D has been really good. They gave LT a hard time for 3.5 quarters. Throw in the fact that I'm starting the Raiders' D and I'm wondering if hedging my bets is the right move.
Reggie's been very hot and faces that porous and vulnerable Skins D. I don't get points for receptions, and it's 1 per 10 yards and 6 per TD. I've had Bush and Drew on the bench for the last few weeks and they've outperformed my starters half the time.
Available D/STs: ATL, ARI, NO, TEN, IND, HOU, SF, STL, DET, TB. Could STL be a possible pickup here? Should I change my D/ST?
Also, Housh is tempting, but what's to say they don't pound Rudi the whole game and throw 15 times?
For my brother's league:
Stallworth vs. Giants, Roy Williams vs. GB, Housh vs. Indy. Pick two.

He put up 25 points against the Bears D

Stallworth and Williams, I don't think the Bengals passing game is gonna put up huge numbers this week fantasy wise because the colts Run D is so horrible they will let Rudi run wild.

here is a quote from a fantasy expert on Yahoo: Play your studs. Don't get clever. Fantasy playoffs aren't won on hunches. There. Any other questions?
Dude, Bush got 6 carries last game and yes a bunch of receptions. I know he ripped some but he is still mired in a platoon with McAllister (who had 21 carries). Stick with him (Jackson) and Housh and they will get you through. Don't get clever!

I would go with R.Johnson and S.Jackson (must start). At WR, Housh is a must start with A.Boldin or Holt a toss up. Holt is going against a top CB where Boldin goes up against either C.Bailey or D.WIlliams.

Alright, I didn't want to say it because I wanted to be confident in my (accidental) decision, but I ended up starting Reggie and Rudi over Drew and Jackson. I was going to put Jackson back in instead of Reggie, but by the time I'd decided I would, I realized it was like 5:40 and the first game of the week had kicked off. Without the opportunity to correct my lineup, I watched Bush score a whopping 2 points and Rudi underwhelm me with 14 while Jackson and Drew put up 24 and 19, respectively.
Luckily, Vick had a huge game, Rivers had a terrible game, LT didn't run up the score too much, and Manning liked Harrison better today, which added up to an 83-79 victory and a spot in my fantasy championship game.
So I bring the same questions back:
Pick two: Bush, Rudi, Jackson, Drew
Pick two: Housh, Holt, Boldin
Thanks again.

Jackson and Holt should be a lock every week. The match-up doesn't matter. After that it's a tough call. The other 3 RBs all play tough defenses. I would probably take Rudy because he's the only genuine feature back of the 3, while Bush and Drew have been hot lately but are not as consistant. I would probably go with Housh over Boldin just because he's been hotter lately and the Bengals still have something to play for.
