if you like realistic warfare shooters then get this. Graphics are awesome, game play is outstanding. The 4 person multiplayer is the best out right now.
However, if you don't have patience then you will probably break 1 or 2 controllers. If you think the duck and cover of Gears of War made the game tough and fun, RSV takes it to a completely new level.

It all depends on taste. If you like tactical shooters, then don't waste anymore time without Vegas. It is an extremely good game and really brings teamwork to its proper level.
As for Fight Night, well...if you like boxing games, you can't go wrong here.

I picked up Rainbow Six for Xmas, and I have really been enjoying it a great deal. I haven't picked up Gears of War since I got R6V. It is a very tactical shooter, and very realistic in terms of weapons and their recoils, accuracy, and distance.
I can't tell you how much fun it is to repell upside down on the side of a vegas casino, scale down to a window, and take out terrorists with your silenced gun before breaching in the room and clearing it.
On top of that, R6V has the best multiplayer options on any 360 game, period.
I highly recommend you pick it up.... if you do let me know and we'll run around a bit online.
EDIT: Oh, and Fight Night is a great game... I really enjoyed it. But I would wait till the next version. The current fight night is extremely easy... waaaayy too easy. And some of the features are pretty much broken (like the rivalry opponent... how can someone be my rival when I knock him out in the 2nd round every time we fight?). I would honestly wait will Fight Night round 4 comes out... hopefully they will fix some of those issues.

Ehhhh, not really. Although they do have some similarities. They were both built on the same engine, and they are both shooters, but that's about it.
R6V is much more tactical that Gears is, but in a good way. You have to work as a team to get anything done, or you will quickly die. There is no "Rambo" run and gun type fighting here, which you can get away with a little bit in Gears.
I would say R6V is much more realistic than Gears, example: a head shot means death..to you or a terrorist. In gears you have to shoot a locust with about 10 rounds to the head for him to go down.
Each individual area or room will take some quick strategy to clear, you simply cannot just open a door and start shooting.
Trust me, it's so much fun though. Fighting through the streets of Vegas, moving from car to car under fire, reminded me of the long fight scene in the movie Heat.... tons of fun.

Seconded! This game has an amazing single player storyline, and plenty of online multiplayer replay value. With Fight Night being a launch title, I have to agree at this point you should wait for round 4. If you do want Fight Night, just check your local EB or Gamestop for a used copy.

Yes, you can play split screen with 2. You can also play the entire story online with up to 4 people.

Both games rock. And both have some really great replay value. Rainbow 6 is probably the best game Ive played on 360. I kinda like it better than GOW, but its a close race.
Fight Night is pretty incredible in its own way. The best boxing game to date, and graphically it's pretty impressive.
I'd go with Rainbow 6 myself, its a keeper.

This is currently my fave game on the 360.
This has now become my favorite game on the 360 as well. I finally finished the single player section and have moved onto to playing nothing but online. Their mutiplayer options are by far the best of any console FPS I've ever played. You can play co-op story mode, you can play co-op terrorist hunts (this is by far my favorite mode), or you can play many different versions of PVP action, taking out your buddies instead of fighting with them.
You can say this about any FPS game, but this game really takes off when you can find a group of people willing to work together and communicate. The community as a whole on R6V is pretty good, although results may vary.
Just a quick shout out to those of you sick of Gears like myself (don't get me wrong, I still love that game, but got tired of it after I beat it on all 3 skill levels), pick up Rainbow Six Vegas. The gameplay is totally different, but in a good way.
Currently, my favorite game on the 360.

Dwight, I might just join you for some RS6: Vegas. I'm still playing a lot of Gears, but I played a lot of Vegas yesterday and had a lot of fun. Haven't played the multi yet and still very early in the single campaign, but I'm enjoying it a lot.

I'll be on today after I get out of work. Hit me up and I'll run you through a couple maps if you want. Once you get a good idea of some of the maps, and what weapons to use on what level (some maps you want to use longer range weapons, some are better if you use a sheild and handgun) you'll be good to go.
Mutiplayer is so much fun, and I love the ability to play the 4 player co-op (dedicated servers can go up to 16 players). I personally enjoy mutiplayer so much more than single player, and that's saying a lot since I had a blast going through the single player campaign. I think you will have a really good time on multi, and it doesn't take long at all to rank up to get more items you can use in multi player.
If anything, it is a nice break away from Gears and a different feel for an FPS.

Wow.. I cant believe how many posts there on a football site about this game, but i must agree, this game is the Ultimate (so far) tactical shooter.! (GoW sux in comparison)
I'm so glad that there are so many bucs fans that game too.!
Do you guys play in any leagues (like Bucs Madden league or a Bucs Poker night, etc..)
I'd love to get into some more of that.

PS. I need to get a real sig for this site, since all of my gaming ones are too big. lol
