with now knowing that simeon rice will be back next year, and so will kelly..i can now have an easier choice of the top pick

Round 1-Joe Thomas LT...This is a guy who can come in and immediatly help our offense out a lot, his pass blocking skills are phenominal and hes considered the best overall left tackle to come out since orlando pace

Round 2-Earl Everret OLB...A speedy guy who used to be a safety, is a good tackler and can learn under brooks for a few years like ruud did, than he can step in and be the closest there is to replacing mr derrick brooks

Round 2-Ryan Kalil C...If he doesn't start next year, he will be starting in 08, and our o-line will finally be complete. Thomas, Beunning, Kalil, Joseph, Trueblood. Smells like a great offensive line to me, and all will be experienced

Round 3-Marcus Thomas UT...He is by far the best pass rushing dt in the draft, and had he not been suspended, he would have been a top 10 pick IMO. As a guy coming out of THE U, he has the same size as sapp and the same intensity as sapp. He may have some anger issues, but that may be what this team needs

I like your picks. I don't know if Kalil will last until the end of the second though. He might be gone by the end of the first round. If we want him and he lasts to our first second round pick, then we might have to take him there. But I too have been thinking he would be a good addition to TB and help the interior blocking for quite some time.

kalil position will most likely be decided on his combine

That's right. But so will most of the others as well. Without his combine numbers, I see him being slotted higher though. But I would be very, very happy if he slipped to our pick at the end of the second round.

I disagree. Kalil is the third best center in college football this year...maybe the 4th or 5th. Last year Mangold went high at #26 (?) and none of these centers grade out higher yet. I still believe Kyle Young will be available with our first 2nd round pick, thus leaving Dan Mozes, Lyle Sandelin and Doug Datish still there besides Kalil. Word on Mozes is that he is becoming the #1 center with Young a close second. Young is 6'5 1/2" 340, while Mozes is 6'3" 295.

I wouldnt mind this, but i'd rather have rufus alexander is he' s there. And just No to marcus Thomas, good athleticism, bad character.

We need another playmaker in the passing game.

Anyone else agree with me?

"hes considered the best overall left tackle to come out since orlando pace"
what about Dbrick? Joe Thomas is not on the same level as brick

Marcus Thomas...in recent yrs the bucs won't touch a guy with of the field issues. I highly doubt is a buc inless he falls well into day 2.

WRs can be found throughout the draft...

look no further than Cinci's roster and it will become evident.

Plus, this draft is looking like it is going to be WR heavy...so a guy like Steve Smith, Samarja(sp), or a Rice(if declares) could be sitting there with our 2nd rd pick.

With every day that passes without Marcus Thomas playing football, the memory of how good he was gets bigger and bigger. I dubbed him the nickname "fishing story" because that's exactly his almost comical effect seems like.

The rest of it is good though.

Round 2-Quinten Moses...A good pass rusher that was good in his junior season but playing not to get hurt in his senior season, it could affect his stock which would drop him to the second round, can play behind rice and come in on 3rd downd for white or spires maybe this season

Round 2-Earl Everret OLB...A speedy guy who used to be a safety, is a good tackler and can learn under brooks for a few years like ruud did, than he can step in and be the closest there is to replacing mr derrick brooks

That would be an awesome first day of the NFL Draft in April for the Bucs.

Anyway you look at it. The 3rd or 4th selection is going to help this team. Quinn, Russell, Thomas, Calvin Johnson, Adams or Branch are all quality picks.

very rare that a center is drafted in the 1st

two of the last three years it's happened. Mangold(05') and Faine(03'). It really depends on the player.

One thing on you picks barberandbrooks. If the Bucs are going to get Earl Everett they are going to have to trade up. There are a few teams in the late first round that are going to select him before the Bucs pick again in the early 2nd round.
