Not really help, but a question.

I found out(in the game) that if you use cheats you disable your achievements. So my question is...

If i cheat and get a bunch of money to buy a 100k car then put it in my garage, save the game, turn it off and come back, will my achievements always be disabled under that save?

Yes... the second you use cheats it disables your achievements. If you want it enabled again, you have to start a completely new game.

Advice: don't cheat.

To me that's lame. Cheat codes should not cut off all of your achievements, only those that the cheats directly affect. At the very least, you should be able to keep the ones you have earned prior to using the cheat code. Just my .02.

I'm pretty sure that it will just disable your ability to gain anymore achievements and won't effect anything you've already done. But I wouldn't run the risk anyway, do you really need to cheat in games in the first place?

The only time I have used cheat codes (other than when I was a kid playing Contra) was for the GTA games. Even then we would only use them to screw around. Run around in god mode, with a tank, etc. just for some laughs.

Disabling achievements not yet unlocked makes more sence. I thought you were saying that it disabled all achievements.

They cant take away ones you have already, but i agree, that majorly sucks. How am i supposed to just get 100k for a car and then get wrecked into and loose it right off the back?

Also, anyone have a good plan to help get insurance fraud money up fast? That is like insanely difficult to get 45k in 3 minutes. I'm still new at this, only been playing for a couple days.


If anyone has some tactics, or knows of a good FAQ for this game, please share... apparently i suck at this game, but usually rule at all GTA games.... :confused:

This is a question i found.

Say, i "cheated" and bought the 100k exotic car. I soon after blew it up and went to buy another one. I finally got that one back to my garage and stored it, after i tricked it out. then, i went back into my garage and the stock version was available to me for 500$ does that mean i still have my car? i also had the tricked out version which was free to pull out. Just a little confusing as i never stored the first car.

At the very bottom of the first post it says...

"Earn $200,000 in Insurance Fraud - Play the Insurance Fraud mini-game and earn $200,000 along the way. Your best bet is to start the Activity in a Police Car and drive as fast as it'll go into on-coming traffic and get yourself ejected from the car on impact. (This happens automatically when going fast enough.) Get enough multipliers going and it is possible to break $200,000 on a single "fall"."

For insurance fraud use the ambulance, it takes more damage and can deal out more damage.

Get going as fast as possible and eject your self from the car by slamming into a group of oncoming cars. The trick is to make it a busy intersection so as many onlookers can see as possible. You get multiplayers for cars hit, witnesses and using a "civil" vehicle....cops, ambulance, swat, IRS car.

My best is a 720, 000 one time shot. I could not believe it when I saw it, it's saved in my statistics. I used an ambulance , hit another ambulance, landed on a cop car and had like 6 witnesses. The multipliers kept going and going. was kinda cool.

Right now I am at 85% complete. Most of the achievements are done and I have it saved at mission 35 of 36. The last mission I wont spoil, but make sure you save the game right before you go finish the last mission.

This is off topic, but where can you find the Hummer (aka Bull Dog in the game) ?

You will not find the Bulldog as a random vehicle. At least not early in the game.

It spawns naturally in the game once you have control of 30 of 36 territories. Your homies will be driving them around. Grab one, modify it, and turn it in to the chop shop.

You can also get one in the missions for Hijacking, For a guaranteed Bulldog, play Level 7 of Los Carnales Hijacking.

Edit to add, once you seize the Bulldog in the hijacking mission, you must cancel the mission, head to forgive and forget, repair the Bulldog and then modify to the chop shop specs. Then of course go turn it in, you will have to obviously redo the Hijacking mission. But its worth it.

Btw don't cheat. It will in effect break your game from that point on. All of your achievements will be disabled. You still keep what you earned, but lose the ability to get any more.

So if you must cheat, wait till 100% completion and then you wont have to worry about achievements. Of course you wont need to cheat at that point either. :D
