Half the people who reply are going to say it, so I'll just save them some time and say it first, so they can just quote me.

"The PS3 sucks."

On the topic of Resistance, I've played it, but I didn't like it. I also can't give you an honest opinion on how it matches up with GoW, since I thought that game stunk, too.

Resistance is a less than average shooter. You're welcome.

I liked resistance alot and it is the best game on the PS3 right now. I would definitely buy it and you can play up to 40 players online in one game with zero lag. You should get it.

FYI, Hooded Champion is a 360 apologist.

I have NOT played RESISTANCE yet, but it's ALWAYS sold out when I try and go to Best Buy for it. I downloaded the trailer off of the PS3 network and it looks pretty scary. I get the impression that it's the kind of game that you want to turn the volume way up on.

I have a video game magazine that rated it a 9 of 10, it's only real knock was some of the graphics were a little tweaky (you can see people firing through walls in a few spots).

Resistance is a great game. Ive noticed a lot of people on here hate the PS3 but can't back it up except for the high price. I also have Gears on Xbox 360 and despite having MUCH MUCH better graphics than Resistance, it is not as fun and does not have as much lasting appeal.

I cant wait for Rainbow Six to come out on PS3 and all the other great PS3 games in March.

But definately get it. And download the Motorstorm demo if you havent already.

I've played Resistance, and liked it. Its a fun shooter, though there are plenty of other games currently in the genre that trumps it (Gears, Vegas come to mind). Its by far the best game for the PS3, though thats not saying much. If you have a PS3, definitely go grab it, as its worth the money.

played resistance once. Pretty average if you ask me.

The replay value in Gears is a lot better. The multiplayer is better as well. The reason that resistance gets a lot of love is because it's the only decent game on the ps3 right now.

I dont understand people's comparisons of Resitance with Gears. Gears obviously is one of the huge titles for 360 so of course it is going to be good. Resistance is only a launch game.

This is true, but Resistance is the best available for the PS3 just as Gears is the best available for the 360.

I'm just going to wait until there is a game that makes me want a PS3 before I actually get one.

About a year after release typically speaking. The PS3 is definitely hurting, especially with the Wii selling so well, and it could mean a significant swing here soon.

Publishers and game developers could now (with the Wii already at 4 million sold) back the Wii. The significant problem with the Gamecube was the lack of 3rd party support. If things keep going as is, that could change for this gen. On the opposite end of the spectrum, the PS3 is losing significant sales, and they could suffer some losses in 3rd party support if things continue as such.

Sales will pick up in the next month or 2...bank on it. No really good games out = why would you buy it now. Several games are coming out in the next 2 or 3 months and I expect it to pick up then.

Very Very average. Can only play for 30 min at a time before I get bored out of my mind. Average graphics, average AI, average game play.

Are you playing this on an HD tv, b/c in HD Resistance is freaking great!!! There is no way you can call this game average. Yes Gears is better but when PS3 developers have a year to figure everything out then you can compair that game to Gears. The true comparison is 360 launch games to PS3 lauch games. PS3 wins hands down.

It's a fact that most system launches lack "quality" games at first. At around a year or so after system launch, is when you start to see the what a system can do.

the game itself is kind of glitchy, it gets rather annoying when you get shot by zombies thru walls.

in terms of what? systems? games?

You couldn't find a 360 for 5-6 months after it's release. The PS3 hyped down ONLY a month after it's release... thats sad, and pretty shocking.

Playstation has a bigger fanbase so the die hard fans when out and bought their PS3's, now you see how steady the sales numbers are for Sony after all the diehards got their system.

360 was the only new console out when it launched. It had zero competition when it came out. Ps3 went up against the Wii at launch and arguably sold as good if not better than PS2 and we know how that system turned turned out. Just because you couldnt' find a 360 after it launched doesn't mean it sold better, it just meant microsoft didn't produce them fast enough. Its a fact anyway that PS3 sold more units at launch than 360. I'll give you a link if you really want it

No games= casual gamers aren't going to buy it now. Soon as they do in these next few months you will be suprised

Revisit the argument in a year and a half. I think all 3 systems are great and the only people that argue over which is better are the fanboys. Friends don't let friends be fanboys!
