Does anyone know how to block a field goal like is there a trick to it??

I'm of the opinion that it's absolutely impossible to block field goals in Madden. I've never even come close to blocking one. The only punt I've ever managed to block was one where the opposing team was on their own 5, so the kicker was closer to my guys.

This is one reason why I like NCAA 2007 better. You can block kicks in that game. It's still pretty difficult, but definently possible.

I blocked a few kicks on madden 07 on 360 I just put on of the outside guys in the middle and sometimes he will go unblocked.

Extra points are the easiest to block just jump the snap right and they will block it sometimes, I have never been able to do a punt tho.

back in madden 03 i blocked a field goal with dexter jackson, on madden a FS is on a fild goal attempt and usually is not on the line but is playing linebacker i put him lined on the side, a blocker missed an assigment and i manage to block it by puting his hands up. i change the FS to CB the fastest one, i do it every game....... dont have 07 so it could still work

if you have fabian washington on the right on extra points you can jump the snap sometimes and block it

As for blocking punts, samething with a much lower rate. Maybe you can block 1 out of every 15. The only time I try to block a punt is when they are punting within thier ten.

I can block kicks pretty regularly on NCAA 2007 using Field Goal Block. The guy second to the left on your line occasionally gets free and you can switch to him and dive in front of the ball.

There may be other ways to do it, but that's just cheesing.

Blocking punts on Madden is easy but field goals are very hard...i have came very close to blocking one on 07 but haven't yet....on previous Maddens I've blocked like 1 or 2

for the 360, well it depend how fast your CB's are,(this is for FG's) first put yourself as the SS or somebody in the back not on the frontline, if you notice on the left side of the line three guys are lined up tightly together( two D-lineman and a LB) then there is a space then your CB's on the outside fill that space with your man try to get as close to the line as possible then rush in, but don't worry if you don't get to the kicker cause it's not your job too. your job is to free up a outside rusher so he can block it. Now this doesn't work every time but you will notice your people acting like they tried to block it and even dive for the block, so try it out I know it worked for me a couple of time as I routed my friend 92-24.( using the colts :grinyes: )

lol if u want to do it the easy way take offsides off & get in the backfield before the snap works every time

NCAA is really good with its jump the snap feature i hope madden adapts this in Madden 08.... They could maybe put Sapp on the cover :D

I have never manually blocked a FG. I just gave up trying, and hope someone sneaks up the gut and gets one now and then...

My friend taught me a trick that you run cover 2 deep spy out of the nickel package while playing a human and wait for them to start the punt and as soon as they pull the trigger back.. jump from the corner and you should be untouched for teh block.. STRICTLY against humans though..I've tried against the computer, and it doesn't work at all.

Online I believe it's impossible unless you get extremely lucky.

If you're playing someone live, just listen to the sound of their controller stick hit and rush with one of the outside guys and you can sometimes block the kick by diving but its easier just to tackle the holder.

Most likely not, It's been attempted but It's really very rare. Try what the guy said above me said. Listen closely... and you may get a great jump. Never been able to block them though.. Most people I play never punt anymore but I don't play online very often.
