ive heard a lot about troy smith and his hight, so i was thinking, that drew stanton could be a nice option at qb. Maybe a 3rd round pick, would you guys take him, or you just think that troy smith would be much better??

If we could get Drew Stanton in the third, that would be awesome. He probably wont be there in the third though and he may need to be developed into a starting caliber QB, and i'm not sure developing is one of grudens strong points... he seems to have a knack for destroying young talent

Stanton has a lot of good qualities.

He has has a lot of work to do before he can pass the ball consistently enough to start in the NFL. Combine that with Gruden's track record with young QBs (that is, total failure), and the only way I'd want to see Stanton in the 3rd is if somebody else is coaching him in 2008.
