If we were to trade our 1st rounder, who would we trade it to, and what do we draft with it?
Maybe, the Cardinals for there 1st and 2nd, and we will get Reggie Nelson.

Dude, quit with the freaking Reggie Nelson crap... Do you have any interest in football or are you just infatuated with Nelson? Your obsession with Nelson is becoming bizarre and if he knew you had this ridiculous crush on him he would have to seriously consider putting a court order with your name on it keeping you from getting within 100 yards of the man.
And seriously, brush up on your writing skills, they're (they+are) seriously belying your age.

love it or hate it.. we won't be tradin down in this draft. Our pick has lots of value, unless an attractive deal is offered. Just stick at #3 or 4 and draft that guy from georgia tech. If you want a safety maybe michael griffin from texas will there in the second round or maybe aaron rouse.

should we get you a man-doll of Reggie....
that way he will never leave your side....
you can even dress him in a Tampa jersey
Calvin Johnson will not be there at 3 or 4 for us. Someone will offer Detroit or Cleveland something to move up. We have to concentrate on other positions like the OL or DL.

You can't base your whole draft on an assumption that something will or won't happen, you rate your players and pick them where they fall, that would be utterly stupid and irresponsible if spent all of our time and resources concentrating on one area and disregarding another and a great player slipped by us because we didn't do our homework...
There is at least a 50/50 chance we will have the opportunity to draft CJ when we get to the draftboard... don't give lame suggestions based on mindless assumptions...

He isn't even the best safety in the draft Laron Landry is a much better prospect. I f would watch someone else besides Nelson you would notice that.

Please, Nelson outplayed Landry all year. Nelson is not only the best safety in the draft he is 3rd best defensive player in the nation (IMO He is the best but I am going with actual facts rather than my natural bias )
I will however say that CJ is who the Bucs should pick with the 3rd/4th pick and if he is not there trade down if possible and get Nelson mid first round. CJ is far and away the best player in this draft and I just find it fortunate there is even a shot at getting him.

I can't think of an example historically, but I wouldn't mind us taking a FS on the first day. Having a good run-stuffing saftey is critical to the Tampa style of defense. True, it's not as great as pass rush, but it still makes a huge difference. Don't believe me? Look at the Bears defense without Mike Brown. The Colts without Bob Sanders. Our defense when we lost John Lynch. Now think of those defenses when those safteys are in there playing. The difference is night and day. Of course I would love us to take a FS (or a SS) on day one.

His drafted position was CB, he played NB/CB his entire rookie season... When we went to nickle he went out to RCB and Ronde went to the slot... It wasn't until the following year he STARTED the season as the FS but that only last a short time has he had to replace Kelly at LCB not long after Kelly got hurt against Indy and Tim Wansley turned out to be the second coming of Floyd Young.

Due to injury the Bears don't have Mike Brown but the player they most miss on defense is their UT, Tommie Harris, which is pretty much what the whole Tampa-2 defense evolves around, a great player and great play, penetration, and disruption of the offense by the UT... Put it this way, Brown was lost in week 6 and continued to play great defense right up until Tommie Harris got hurt a month later... Harris was clearly the key to making the Bears a great D, not Brown.
You can line up Stephen Hawking and Pepe LePew as your safeties if your UT and the rest of the front 7 are exceptional. You build great defense from the DL on back, not the other way around.

I remember him playing CB on the right & left (at different points) but where did you get the info of him being drafted as a CB?
This is what I got:
http://www.nfl.com/draft/history/teams/TB
But anyway, he was the last DB of any kind to be drafted on day one.

Interesting error on NFL.com's part, he did play some S at Akron but as I recall from all the draft guides I had he was primarily a CB and ALL Dbs coming into the league would much rather be played at CB and thereafter be paid like one.
I remember back whenever it was that the Bucs signed in the offseason DE Bryant Mix they cut him before the season started I believe and I don't know if he ever played in a game for the team but the team roster page on NFL.com had him on the team the entire season. NFL.com is known to make a few mistakes from time-to-time. I forgive them though...
The Bucs site says he was a CB http://www.buccaneers.com/history/draft.aspx?year=2001
