I'm in the 4th year of a dynasty with the South Florida Bulls, and my new starting RB (a freshman) is Reggie Burns, a 5'11 200 pound guy. He bears an uncanny resemblance to a certain Saints RB with a similar name and physique.
Has anyone else had similar things happen in their dynastys/franchises?

I just noticed that he also wears #25, just like Bush. It's uncanny.

I like it when you get the "NFL" last names, I have had a bunch of Barber's , Brook's, a few Rice's....I love it.
EA's name generator is laughable, but they at least try and generate names that the announcer will say.

But it sounds like a pretty cool coincidence altogether.

Bush wears #25 now, according to NFL.com's player sheets.

Yes, I'm aware. But I never said #25 was his college number.

Unlike Madden, they do actually seem to make NCAA better every year!

The only problem I have is trying to win the Heisman.
I had a QB with 62 total TD's. 45 passing, 17 rushing. 4200 yards passing, 1500 yards rushing. Only 15 INT's.
I lost to a QB with 39 total TD's...and I was in the lead up until the last game.

Yeah. The Heisman voting is a little screwy, but the only thing I've noticed is that you can't win it twice with one player. I've lost it before, too, to players with worse stats than mine.
I also got my punt returner and right defensive end on the Heisman board, too, once. :) With my punt returner, I had 4 punts returned for TDs in the first game of the season. It was against a 1AA team. With my RE, I had like 8 sacks in 2 games.

I've won the Heisman three seasons in a row, but 0nly with WR's. No matter how well my RB performs, I can not even crack the top 5. My QB will usually float around 3-5, but my RB's never even get a sniff.

I won it with Tony Hunt in my PSU Dynasty. It's really hard to do it, though. I basically did nothing but run the ball down the opposing D's throat all season long. Finished with a little over 3000 yards rushing. :D The only thing I can think of is maybe it takes recieving yards for a RB into account, so if you have none with him, it's considered a "bad" stat regardless of how many rushing yards you have.
It's much easier to win it with WRs and QBs, though.

****... I'm about to play in the National Championship with the USF Bulls, and I have to play against Penn State... :(
At least I can take comfort in the fact that both Florida and Miami are 5-7 on the season. :D The #1 Bulls finished #1 in the ACC, with the #5 Wake Forest Demon Deacons finishing second in the ACC.
Oh, yeah... I won the Heisman with Reggie Burns.

He'll have it taken away for innapropriately accepting funds and lodging for his family from an agent.

I created a halfback and broke the record for most rushing yards every season and only won the heisman my sophmore year. other running backs with alot worse stats won over me the following years.

That's because you can only win it once with a certain player.
I beat Penn State. Barely. I had a good offseason, too, even though I only lost 8 seniors to graduation. I managed to shore up positions I'm going to have big losses at next year. (My current senior class is 9 players, but I have around 20 juniors.) To be honest, USF is such a powerhouse now that it's really not that much fun.
Before the season starts, if you look at your offensive, defensive and special teams ratings, all my ratings are A+. My weakest starter is my 78 OVR ROLB, but he's really fast and a good tackler. Plus, my defensive linemen are all 90+ OVR.

Despite the fact that I've won 4 straight National Championships, I continue to struggle with recruiting. I'm playing with UF, and I've won the heisman every year, either with a WR or my QB. I'm going to start next season with USF, and see if I can build a program. With my dismal results so far, it doesn't seem likely.
I had my best recruiting class after my fourth season, bringing in 3 five stars and 8 four stars. I've never even broken into the top 5 classes.

Recruiting is easy if you know how to do it. I'll work up a little guide for you an post it later. ;) My best class ever was five 5-Star recruits and 18 4-Star recruits.

I like the fact that the days of getting 15 5* recruits are over in the new version of the game. I agree a good class now, might have 4 or 5 5*'s with the rest being 4*'s.
