People have different sized hands. Personally, my hands fit the Xbox controller perfectly. Whenever I have used a PS controller in years past, I've always ended up with hand cramps because of the way it has forced my hands to conform.
And everyone knows the games are better on PS2 than any Xbox or 360 games.
Games that were released on PS2 and Xbox were universally accepted as better looking on the Xbox. PS2 won the console war because of better game exclusives and beating Microsoft to market. Now Microsoft beat PS3 to market, the exclusive titles are about an even match, and developers have flat out said, its easier to program for the 360.
The PS3 will reign supreme in a short year from now. Guaranteed.

Saying that all the people who think the PS3 sucks are 360 fanboys is a stretch. I don't have a 360, but I still think the PS3 sucks. I do most of my gaming on the PC, since I hate buying games that I can't easily mod. The only consoles I have are the Wii and the XBox.

And, my stance as a game developer is still that the PS3 sucks, but I've posted why so many times you can just do a search for it to find the reasons.

The average person cant afford a $500-$600 system either fool. And for people like me who have a 56 inch DLP I want the The Best Available Picture, Which is Blu-Ray. It's been proved better than HD-DVD with side by side displays at every TV store in your area. The only thing HD-DVD has is a bigger selection of older movies. And the wireless PS3 remote I have is the same exact model PS has had for what 8 years now.

First of all, the Wii is not just for 5-year olds. Go take a look at The Godfather for the Wii. The controls on that game kick ***. Secondly, the 360 is doing better in Japan now that Microsoft is starting to put major support behind a variety of titles (Blue Dragon, for instance). Sure, most of the AAA titles for it are shooters, but to say that it only appeals to shooter fans is ignorant.

Where do you get your information on how difficult it is to code games for consoles? It's easier to code for Nintendo and Microsoft products because they make and support developer tools which conform to most industry standards and (most importantly) mase it simple to do cross platform development. Sony, on the other hand, doesn't provide developers with the same tools and, in some cases, forces developers to use platform specific coding techniques to accomplish things (PS3 graphics processing is a good example here).

Sony's lack of support for developers is a major reason why you're going to see many developers who support cross-platform projects develop their games primarily for the 360/Wii and port them to the PS3. It is far easier and more cost efficient to develop games with provided tools than to make your own.

Finally, the 360's GPU is a whole heck of a lot better than the PS3's. Not only does Microsoft provide DirectX compatible tools for it (to make it simpler to code for), it's also better at processing a lot of graphics based calculations. (Shaders, for instance.)

Also, the read speed on Blu-Ray discs is about half that of HD-DVD discs. When Bethesda ported Oblivion to the PS3, they found that the game ran like absolute crap on it. This was because the PS3 couldn't sort through such a large amount of data on the disc at a reasonable speed. They eventually solved the problem by copying the game data to the disc twice to reduce the search time for data. If this becomes a widespread problem in next-gen games, it'll negate the advantage of additional disc size the Blu-Ray discs have.

They make their living making software. This allows the developers to focus on creating the game instead of how to maximize the processor. As a result, it has sold TRIPLE the amount of the PS3 and continues to sell out the moment a shipment arrives, while plenty of available PS3s sit at the counter. Get your facts straight. PS3's don't cost Sony 1800 dollars. It costs them $840 for the 60 G version. $820 for the 20 Gb. Also, did you know that Microsoft will soon be releasing a 120 Gb? You really have a problem with getting facts straight. Also, predicting the winner of this format war is going to end up entirely pointless. Sony is obviously doing a good job pushing Blu Ray sales with the PS3, but with the rapid growth of broadband capabilities, physical disc mediums are on a short lifespan. We are moving into a wireless, digital world. In your proposed 5 year time span, discs won't even be used anymore.

I have all 3, the 360 has the best online features and the dashboard rocks, not to mention the best games currently available. Gears of War, what???

The Wii is fun, I bought one for my daughter and thought I would never play it. Guess what I was wrong, sure it lacks in graphics but the bowling game, among others, is fun. Plus its fun for the whole family.

The PS3 may have slightly better graphics but thats about it. Most of the games are lame. The dashboard or whatever you want to call it is BORING. The web browser sucks, while replacing my hard drive in my laptop I tried out the browser and well other than checking my email it just wasn't worth going online. The online store doesn't even come close to that of the Xbox 360.

I happend to check in with a friend of mine who works at a flooring store here in Oklahoma. For a 5200sq house this is what it would cost ( for a midgrade Enginered wood not solid hardwood) at 5.99 Sqf with 23.83sf to a box it would take 202 boxes to do 5200 sq. Each box costing $155, it would cost him 31,253.78$ He probably put in the .99 cent laminate to make it look like hardwood :p

I own a 360 and a ps3 buddy so before you start speaking for ps3 do yourself a favor and shut it.

Both have their drawbacks. PS3 has a very laggy online mode. So if your interested in more "play games by myself" type games. PS3 is for you. But if you enjoy better online action 360 is for you. Don't forget their will always be one difference between Sony and Microsoft, One has Bill Gates, Nuff said

Both have their drawbacks. PS3 has a very laggy online mode. So if your interested in more "play games by myself" type games. PS3 is for you. But if you enjoy better online action 360 is for you. Don't forget their will always be one difference between Sony and Microsoft, One has Bill Gates, Nuff said

your theory of "play games by myself" is wrong. The two biggest games for the system is Resistance and Motorstorm, both games are preached to be more towards the online community. They have nothing to offer, as of now, for big impact single player games. This is why 360 is leaps better. Not only does it have good games in production, it also tends to the online community. The PS3 is relying heavily on MGS4 to boost sales it's not even funny since they have lost two of there big exclusives already and plan on losing more. This is coming from a guy who has owned nothing but sony up until a year ago. Sorry to say, but for at least another year, the ps3 is just a cheap man's blu ray disc player.

You thought alot of the LAUNCH games for 360 sucked.
Now you have owned your 360 for over a year the games have gotten better.
Now your one sided cuz your mommy won't buy you a PS3.
In 1+ years the PS3 is going to own the gaming market. You know it, and I know it.
From the blu-ray dvd at 1080p which is awesome. To the ability to download movies and games in the future from the PS store. The controller is still the best fit and most argonomical than any platform. And everyone knows the games are better on PS2 than any Xbox or 360 games. Just wait until they are realeased on the PS3. Now I dont think the 360 sucks, I would never think this, but I do think the people who say the PS3 sucks are the ones who have owned a 360 for a year+ and have grown acustomed to it, and don't want to admit what they already know. The PS3 will reign supreme in a short year from now. Guaranteed.

none of what you said came true, not even the downloaded games or movies, because for all the Xbox has to offer, the PS3 has maybe 2 games worth downloading.... and wheres the movie's?

I own both, and the only game really worth buying for the PS3 is Unreal Tournament 3. The controller sucks, and feels like a cheap piece of crap.


The only thing you were right about is the Blu-Ray, and that's obvious to anyone.

The timing's a little off but the PS3 far from sucks.

Controller is completely preference.

There's still a ways to go but the gap is closing and soon both consoles will offer the same products.

PS3 Home is also on the horizon. Better a complete product than a rushed, product with a 33% failure rate.....oh wait. ;)

I can't argue with the failure rate thing, i myself have experienced the red ring, but hey i also got a free game out of it and 24k microsoft points to boot, not to mention my 130$ back.

You can't tell me though that the PS3 controller doesn't feel like a cheap piece of plastic(compared to the 360 controller), and you better watch how you set the thing down because of where the trigger buttons are placed. That my friend has nothing to do with prefrence, unless you prefer something that feels like it costs what you pay for.


There are a list of things that i like about the PS3, and most of them haven't come out yet, well see when that happens, but for now yeah, there are some things i like better, but they are all things the Xbox doesn't offer. I will only buy games for the PS3 that are exclusive, because it feels like a waste of time if i can't get achievements. (Yeah i'm addicted to achievement points... and so are a couple other people on this board that i know of.) That doesn't include UT3, because soon i will have the PC, PS3 and the 360 versions. I already have the first two. The 360 version, just because i can't wait to get those achievements.

I have also recently gone on a Blu Ray kick, i never even used my HD-DVD drive. I now have about 10 Blu Ray movies and i agree they are way better than reg DVD's.
