I think he'll put a mid to low 4.3.. all he's had nothing to do for a while but work out on his speed and legs which are as healthy as they will ever be, plus he says he wants to run a 4.2 which means he will likely be able to settle for 4.32-4.37

What does '5 character' mean and why is it written so lightly?

You need a minimum of 5 characters in a post. so if you have a post like
"4.42" thats only 4 characters, so you put in that other crap. I usually just mash the keyboard to reach 5, but I'm stylin like that.
EDIT : I hope Peterson runs well. I think above 4.4 though.

He's much faster than some people seem to think. He was a 10.3 100 meter kid in HS...For those who don't know, that put him at the fastest player of the 2004 class.

I guess 4.38. Peterson is as explosive of a runningback I have ever seen that is over 215 lbs.

Personally I think he is faster than Portis. But either way I said more explosive than any runningback I've seen over 215 lbs.
Portis is listed at 212 lbs.

Portis isn't and has never been 215... He's faster than Jackson if he breaks 4.5 and LJ, Tomllinson was low 4.4 if I remember correctly. We'll know soon

Are you old enough to remember Bo Jackson? He was 6'1 220 lbs at the combine and clocked a 4.20... Christian Okoye was just over 6'0 and weighed 250 and clocked a 4.51.... I think Shawn Bryson had an impressive set of numbers 230 or so and 4.44 or something

Those were all hand timed.

So, what computer timed Bo might have been 4.28 or 4.12... alright then... Bo ran a 4.12!

typically you add .15 to a hand time to get the electronic...
which would make a 4.2 = 4.35.

No, I'm 21 years old and unfortunately never go to see him play. The first year I really started following the draft was 2001 which was the Tomlinson draft. I became a draft addict in 05' when when my favorite college player of all time, Cadillac Williams, played the same position that was the top need of my favorite team.

Bo was awesome! Eric Dickerson was nice too... Weighed 219 and ran low 4.3's...
Herschel Walker was 225 or so and ran mid 4.3's... All nice #'s only two great players there, Herschel wasn't one of them...

Typically? There are fast timers and slow timers, neither one of us have any idea who timed it and if the person or people timed it were fast or slow... Bo had special speed that few in the world have been able to match.

With 40 times not being as crucial to scouting back in the day, I don't think they pushed for as precise of numbers. Jerry Rice ran a 4.6...
Anyway, to stay on topic. Hopefully this fast 40 time keeps Cleveland in place to take AD at 3. If they trade down and take CJ from us, I'm prayin that another trade is made so that Quinn and AD or taken before the browns pick...
