What a combine! There were some very impressive performances out there and some surprisingly bad ones...

The guys that really stood out:
QB Brady Quinn-Quinn didn't throw but what he did do was show his dedication to making himself a better player and his work ethic. May have fought his way back into contention of being the #1 player chosen... The Bucs could nab him at... round #1

QB John Beck-2nd fastest ball speed at 61+mph from a guy that most assumed (me included) had an average arm... then he went on to post a fantastic short shuttle time of 4.17 beating the combine's two fastest WR's Yamon Figurs and Jason Hill...he then went on to post a better 3-cone drill time than most WR's and DBs... this from a guy that looked fairly immobile in college...He ran an official 4.8 which is pretty good. Distinguished himself as more than just another guy... could sneak into the 3rd round now... The Bucs could nab him at... round 4.

QB Jared Zabransky-threw ok but really showed the athleticism (4.5 40) that we thought he might have but then proved he really did have... Had passable ball speed as well. He is still a fringe prospect... aka Gradkowski... The Bucs could nab him at .... round 7 (I would say 6 if we had one)

WR Yamon Figurs-SLight of frame 5'11 174 but registered the top 40 time of the combine at 4.3... Didn't run well in change of direction drills but caught the ball well and I kept hearing how he was probably the best gunner in college last season.... he also returns kicks and punts and is a decent WR prospect. Distinguished himself as a priority special teamer, may find himself in the 1st day after not being considered a big-time prospect... The Bucs can nab him in... round 5

WR Jason Hill- The guy without breakaway speed turns out to be a guy that really has breakaway speed... His numbers from his sophomore and junior seasons suggest he is a downfield threat but he wasn't thought to run well... he really did, 4.32, and caught the ball extremely well... Solidified himself as a day 1 prospect.. the Bucs could nab him at... the end of round 2 or round 3...

other WRs to help themselves... all the Boise St. WRs that were thought to be a step slow... Robert Meachem... and Mike Walker of CFU...

RB Chris Henry Arizona--where did this guy come from and why was he even invited to the combine???? He answered those questions by easily being the most impressive RB at the combine (physically) Because of his 6' 230 lb frame and impressive 4.40 speed he will be drafted... His college production suggested he MIGHT get into an NFL training camp... Where the Bucs could nab Henry... round 5 or 7... perhaps he can at least be a special teams demon with his size and speed and make a roster.

RB Brian Leonard--- what was the guy thinking? Coming into the combine at 226 to play HB not FB in the pros??? We know he is tough and runs hard... now he runs a 4.51 to show he has enough speed to possibly make a go of it as a HB in the NFL... He solidified himself into a solid day 1 pick, possibly going as high as early in round 2... Where the Bucs could nab him... oh please, let's not start this again... ok ok, pick 2b...

other RBs DeShawn Wynn ran well and has production and skill... Peterson was as explosive as advertised.

TE Greg Olsen, who else, perhaps the star of the combine on the offensive side of the ball, running a 4.51 and making himself a 2nd round pick to a possible mid-first round pick... Where the Bucs could nab him... we probably can't or shouldn't but we would have to trade down from pick #1.

other TE's Michael Allan showed good athleticism for a Div 3 prospect, could really blossom after a year in an NFL training regimen...

OT Alan Barbre?? Who? Ran a 4.84 at over 300 lbs...I don't know if he can play, i don't know much about him, he managed 28 reps so he has functional strength and a decent work ethic... if nothing else he would make a VERY scary wedge buster... He will now get drafted due to his athleticism... Where the Bucs might nab him... round 5 or 7

other OL to impress, Blalock and Ramirez showing good strength and dedication by putting 40 reps up... JThomas, Gabe Hall, and Ryan Kalil for posting sub 5.0 40X... there were 4 OL to post sub 5.0 40X

DE Adam Carriker weighed in at 6'6 and 296 with very little fat, put up 225 33X but only posted a 4.9 40 time... however, he had a 20 yard shuttle time of 4.18 which was 2nd best among all DLinemen and better than about half of the DBs and WR's... could be a top 10 pick at this point and may be able to play DT at his size... Where the Bucs could nab him.... pick #1 (after a trade down preferably)

DE Brian Robison and Tim Crowder from UTexas... both guys proved to be much better athletes than anticipated.. RObison may have been the star of the DL... posting good 40X an RB like 3 cone drill and an unheard of 40.5 vertical jump, he also posted 27 reps on bench... he weighed in at 6'3 259 so he isn't a complete lightweight... He moved himself up into the first day and Crowder solidified himself in the 2nd. WHere we could get either of them... Crowder pick 2a, and Robison round 3.

DE/DT Turk McBride, was only 6'2 277 but posted a 4.82... he also posted the best 20 yard shuttle time of all DL with 4.12 and a respectable 27 reps... He elevated his stock a little... where the Bucs could nab him... round 4

DE Baraka Atkins ran better than anticipated.

LB Quincy Black, for a while now I have been saying I wanted the Bucs to grab him... in round 5... that will NEVER happen.... all Black did is put on perhaps the best performance of the combine... he weighed in at 6'1.5 and 240 posted a 4.42 and put up a combine best 41.5 vertical jump...the best 60 yard shuttle and the 3rd best 3 cone drill... He put up an average 24 reps on 225... which is not terrible considering he is more of a run and hit and cover LB..If you haven't seen anything about Black... he played at UNM playing Urlacher's old SS/LB hybrid spot and was extremely productive... He put himself into the 1st day for sure... where? The Bucs could nab him at 2b but we might be too late!

LB Patrick Willis-majorly productive stud with excellent measurables... Ran a 4.49 only posted a 22 reps but was very fluid in drills... Solidified himself as at least a mid round 1st round pick and might move into the top 10... Where the Bucs could nab him... pick #1 preferrably after moving down...

LB Antawan Barnes a 4.43 40 and 31 reps on 225 at 6'1 240... the problem with Barnes is that he has limited experience at LB playing DE for half of his collegiate career at Florida International... He will likely struggle in coverage but with his fantastic speed and dedication he will make a big impact on special teams and can play there as he learns... May go as early as day 1... where the Bucs can nab him... round 4 or 5...

LB Zak DeOssie--at 6'4 250 Steve DeOssie's son from Brown posted a rather impressive 4.58... He's also a longsnapper... While he might not project to LB for the Bucs, he was wildly productive and could be a Sam ...he's got good strength (26 reps) and posted excellent results inthe broad jump, 20 yard shuttle, 60 yard shuttle, and 3 cone drill....all superior to the best DE's at the combine... the question is, could he project to a RDE for the Bucs? He has some injury issues which might keep him out of the first day.. but he could sneak in there due to his athleticism and production and obvious smarts and versatility (LS) Where the Bucs could nab him... round 4 or 5...

LB Chad Nkang, Tim Shaw, Justin Durant, Juwan Simpson , David Harris, Rory Johnson, Nate Harris all ran very well at the combine and could impress the Bucs if their game tapes look good.

CB Chris Houston was a guy I really liked at CB, not for us, he's primarily a man2man CB and wouldn't be happy with the Bucs... But he went out there and blazed a 4.32 and put up an extremely impressive 27 reps at 225... at only 185 lbs.. this guy is pure fast twitch athlete... what he did... may have become the top CB in the draft... A shutdown CB like no other in the draft, he went from being a fringe 1st round pick to possibly a top 10 pick... Where the Bucs might nab him... I really like Houston but the Bucs will not be drafting a CB in the 1st or even a shutdown CB at any point... this won't happen.

CB Leon Hall... Hall wasn't supposed to run this well, a 4.39 wsa great for him, great for anybody, he really helped his stock and might be able to hold off Chris Houston as the #1 CB... No go for the Bucs, CBs in the 1st in the cover 2 is not their thing.

other CBs... Josh Wilson...Aaron Ross...

S this is the position that got me excited... Laron Landry blew away all the other S's at the combine, first he came in looking like a Mack truck then he ran a 4.35 40 at 214 lbs... with his experience and production and speed, he may very well find himself in the top 10 after being debated as to whether he is the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd best safety in the draft... He's now definitely #1

S Sabby Piscatelli--- wow, this guy was impressive... 6'2.5 226 and posted a 4.47 and even better he posted probably the best 20 yard shuttle time at the combine at 3.90... he ranked fairly highly in other drills but more importantly he looked very fluid and athletic in the position drills... There is a lot to like with Sabby, he was very productive in college (15 career picks), he will now definitely find himself in the 1st day... could possibly play WLB or MLB in the tampa 2 or SS... Where the Bucs might nab him... 2b... if they're lucky... he will likely be drafted ahead of other safeties like Aaron Rouse now.

S John Wendling.. another big safety that ran extremely well... 6'1 222 and posted a 4.48 and a 38.5 vertical jump as well as placing inthe top 4 in nearly every category.. He also posted 22 reps of 225 and looked very fluid and athletic in the position drills... At the East West shrine game he really laid a lick on a TE and was a good and productive tackler in college. He may have moved himself into the first day... and he might also be able to transition to WLB or MLB WHere the Bucs can nab him... 3rd round pick might be too early, 4th round pick might be too late.

Other safeties that helped their cause

Eric Weddle, Michael Griffin both ran under 4.5 and it wasn't a sure thing that they would... Aaron Rouse ran a 4.52 at 6'4 223 and could project to LB.

This took awhile to compile feel free to add other guys you think really helped themselves... I'll make my list of guys that really hurt themselves but first let me go on record that in regards to JaMarcus Russell, I don't think he looked that bad when he took off his shirt, it is when he took off his bra that he disgusted me! :)

Pretty good stud & duds there, but I really like Sabby though!

Carriker is the real deal. The guy has solid pro written all over him.

Carriker is the real deal. The guy has solid pro written all over him.Carriker is going to be a very good player but his slot puts him in the first round. No chance at him

Bucs should trade down and stay in contact with all teams that are in the top ten. Top twenty for sure.

I would put Carriker top twenty. After that...I think that teams are taking a chance by NOT selecting him. The guy has football smarts. His largest asset is his leverage. He knows leverage and that can make for one hell of a defensive end.

One of the combine sites I visited indicated the Bucs spent a lot of time interviewing Sabby Piscitelli on Monday night.......possibly a 2b or 3rd round pick......

I think if we can grab him and either Wendling/Weddle or Tanard jackson......are FS/SS positions will be upgraded immensely.

Now we just have to figure out how to get a LT/C/LG/WR/DT/DE and PR/KR.

Easy there with the needs already... LG is definitely NOT a need, particularly if we do get a LT in the draft or via free agency.. We have a very young LG in Buenning and if Anthony Davis is supplanted as starter at LT I think he may be an even better LG than Buenning...

I would love to see Piscitelli or Wendling just for the fact that with their motors, size and speed they could project to LB if that's where the Bucs like them... They definitely have better wheels than most of the other run and chase LBs that are highly rated and their size is nearly as good.

There were losers just as much as there were winners... Lucky for us, measurables aren't the end all be all of a player's worth... perhaps some of these players can drop to us and become players in the future... one player whom I hope DOESN'T drop is...

QB JaMarcus Russell--- Whomever said that the #1 prospect in the draft CAN'T hurt himself by NOT working out at the combine is wrong... Russell didn't workout and at least in my and most likely many teams' minds... he is dropping fast...

Despite weighing in at only 10 lbs over his listed playing weight, Russell looked to be carrying an extra 20-30 lbs of girth in his torso... I've said this before and I'll say this again... It wasn't when Russell took off his shirt was all that bad, it was when he took off the bra that I was truly repulsed... this guy is fat! It's one thing to be a little chubby but it is quite another thing to have a poor work ethic and Russell clearly demonstrated that the rumors of his work ethic were greatly understated... What is scary is that he knew he was going to be weighing in and showing his physique to everybody so he either didn't care AT ALL or perhaps even more scary is maybe he actually HAS gotten himself into better shape...

If this is how hard he works on taking care of himself now, it will likely only get worse as he starts earning the $$$... It wouldn't be a stretch to state from his general lack of physical preparation for the combine, he probably isn't a big student of the game either....

If I'm drafting #14 overall I pass on JaMarcus Russell at this point...he's got a giant question mark next to his name and I wouldn't want to be the NFL executive responsible for being the one that drafted the next Ryan Leaf (who coincidentally was prone to letting himself get out of shape and not a good student either)....

To steal a line from Buddy Ryan in reference to former player, FB Michael Haddix, "He looks like a reject guard from the USFL, he's so damn fat!" Well, that's the way I feel about Russell and he might slip out of the top 20 on my draft board... though some team will likely be enamored with his physical gifts and overdraft him in the top 10, forgetting in the process that playing QB in the NFL is about 90% mental.

What did he do to his draft stock? Teams are likely seriously questioning whether they want the future of the franchise decided by a QB that may not care and could likely turn out to be a big FAT bust. What will the Bucs need to do to nab him... hopefully they pass the first two times his name would come up and take him 2b... though he won't be there... good for us!

QB/WR Reggie Ball-- so he wasn't going to be a QB at the next level anyways but when he ran close to a 4.80 40 with the WR's it really didn't matter too much that his other scores weren't that bad... he's too small and too inexperienced at the position and now he's too slow... a triple whammy...

What did he do to his draft stock? Draft stock, what draft stock? He may get drafted but it is pretty doubtful now... What will the Bucs need to do to obtain him? Make a call to his agent AFTER the draft and see if he wants to come to the Bucs as a rookie free agent...

RB Marshawn Lynch--- While Lynch didn't do much to hurt himself--- he didn't distinguish himself either showing slightly above average explosion and speed for the position... not a big deal but if you watch Lynch's tapes he tends to try to bounce EVERYTHING outside which doesn't translate well to the NFL if he doesn't have exceptional speed... Despite being called, 'more quick than fast' he didn't look to have a lot of quickness either... really struggling with a sloppy east-west elbows and feet start off the blocks...

What will it do to his draft stock... Not much... Him going to the Packers in the 2nd half of round 1 still seems like a likely destination... What will the Bucs need to do to grab him? Hope that he falls and keeps falling... If he were somehow able to make it out of round 1 he could be nabbed by the Bucs with 2a and might be a slight upgrade to the much smaller and injury prone Carnell Williams... it isn't likely he falls that far but anything is possible...

RBs Ramonce Taylor and Lorenzo Booker... Taylor really needed to provide an incredible time in the 40 just to get drafted... he has 3 months in jail coming up and after running a 4.5 (not good for a speedy scat back) he isn't likely to be getting any phone calls in the state pen... Booker didn't run all that poorly, matching Lynch with a 4.46 but most people expected a time in the high 4.3 low 4.4 range... He is a smallish back that was thought to have tremendous speed and now there is a chance he doesn't get his name called on the 1st day

What did it do to his stock... perhaps dropped him down a round... What will the Bucs need to do to get him? Spend a 4th rounder on him... I think Booker plays a little faster than he times and he might be an upgrade on special teams and worth the pick...

TE Zach Miller--- Perhaps the top rated TE in the draft until Greg Olsen passed him (and then lapped him) by running much better, Miller only managed a 4.84 and generally looked lethargic and unathletic for the day... He didn't bench either...

What did he do to his draft stock? Well, he definitely isn't going to be picked in the late 1st round anymore... He's still the #2 or 3 TE in the draft and won't fall farther than the 2nd round... What will the Bucs need to do to draft him? He might be there at 2b... if he's not... good for us... we don't need a TE.

OL Aaron Sears--- measured at only 6'3 and 319 didn't run and then managed a measley 21 reps of 225... why didn't he run and how bad was it going to be? 21 reps despite being a wide-bodied OT doesn't suggest he is much of a worker...

How did it drop his stock? His pro day is coming up... He was once being talked about being a 1st day pick... that still may happen depending on how he looks at his pro day... What the Bucs need to do to nab him....Take a flyer on him in round 4...

DT--- Amobi Okoye--- this looks to be a weak class of DT's, too bad because that is what we need most... Despite putting up respectable numbers on the bench and having a chiseled physique at 302, Okoye looked rather ordinary in drills and didn't separate himself from an average group of athletes at the position... He only ran a pedestrian 4.97 40, nothing close to the electric times of great UTs Tommie Harris, Warren Sapp (Both 4.7's) or even an everage one in Booger McFarland (4.8) in the past... The big question is... how much bigger will this guy get and will he grow himself out of being an UT and is he even quick enough now to really get after it on every play?

What did it do to his draft stock? Perhaps nothing, he has always been seen as a mid-first round pick and nothing has really changed that... He is still an interesting pick due to his upside and youth... What the Bucs will need to do to nab him? As our next NT, I presume, because he won't likely be UT size for long... move back in round 1... Rumors of him going to Atlanta... thanks, do us a favor

DT David Patterson--- this guy only weighed 285 but still looked out of shape and posted a terrible 5.14... This guy needed to run well to have a shot at being drafted and could have really helped his cause with a little more athleticism... He moved around worse than most of the 320 lb guys and now looks like he won't be drafted. Plus he put up a pretty bad rep # of 21 on the bench.

How will it affect his draft stock? Get his agent's # because he's anybody that wants him after the draft is over... What do the Bucs need to do to nab him? Wait a year and put an application on his windshield and see if he wants to be the new custodian at team HQ...

DE Both Georgia DE's Moses and J0hnson did not run well despite both being considered better prospects because of their speed... Moses, however, is just one of those players, he doesn't work out well but he can play football... Terrell Suggs was the same way and he actually ran worse than Moses... Moses, however, looked terrible in drills and will defnitely NOT be a LB in the NFL.

How did it affect their stock... It hurts them with the 3-4 teams as neither guy is likely to project to LB... Moses was once seen as a sure 1st round pick, he may go as late as the middle of round 2 now... Johnson might come off the board very late in day 1.

DE Jamaal Anderson... JW32's very own favorite defensive player didn't do anything to help his cause by not working out AT ALL at the combine... Coming in and weighing in and leaving. At a shade over 6'5 and 288 he had better run well or he might be viewed more as a DE in the 3-4 or as a DT... His pro day is coming up in a few weeks so we'll see what he does.

LB---wow, where do I start the list? Not a good showing for quite a few LBs here... most notably Earl Everett of UF...who ran nearly a 4.9... He didn't appear to have any problems or pain during or after the run but before his next turn at the 40 Everett pulled out with a 'hamstring injury' but then participated in LB drills anyways despite many of them requiring the LBs to run full speed... He didn't look particularly fluid or fast in the drills and there is always the chance his injury is legit... then there's always a chance that this finesse run and chase LB is missing the one big thing that all good run and chase LBs need, SPEED. He did weigh in at a much higher than expected 238 but only managed a fairly wimpy 19 reps of 225 on bench...

What it did to his draft stock... he went from being a possible early 2nd to possibly falling out of day 1... he had better run and run well at his pro day... What the Bucs need to do to nab him... hope his hamstring is still hurt and he doesn't run well and nab him at the top of round 4.

LB Jon Beason--- didn't run as well as anticipated, another run and chase LB that needed to run well... unlike Everett however, he is very physical for his size and a 4.72 is far better than a 4.88...Beason, however, only managed an Everettesque 19 paltry reps...

How did it affect his draft stock? Forget about him going in the 1st round... He was always a fringe 1st round guy anyways but with all the DBs that elevated their stocks and Timmons distinguishing himself,. Beason will likely last until the middle of round 2...

What the Bucs need to nab him.. pick him at 2b if he's there.

LB Tony Taylor... what does college football's best coverage LB have to do to drop his stock quickly? Try running a 4.95 40 and looking lethargic and slow during all combine and senior bowl drills...

How has it affected his stock? Far better players have run slightly better times ands seen their stock fall rapidly... Taylor goes from a lmid-to-late 1st day pick to a probable 5th rounder for a team running a 3-4... No team running a 4-3 is going to want to put a guy that slow and lethargic to have to cover all that space by himself... He'll probably end up inside in the 3-4 or as a Sam..

What the Bucs will need to do to nab him... why do they want him? I suppose we can nab him in round 5 with the hopes that he looked so unexplosive because one of the other players at the combine secretly switched his track and football cleats with lead boots... come to think of it, all 3 of the best Georgia defenders looked like that were wearing lead boots.... Not a good day for Georgia defenders.

LB Jon Abbate--- 5'9 AND ran a 5.04? This guy was a very good collegiate LB but so was UVa Kai Parham who was 6'4 250+ and ran an identical 5.04... still Abbate looks to have exellent game speed and I think he'll still get drafted, probably by a 3-4 team looking for a jack LB to come slam himself into OG's...

How does it affect his stock? Went from possible 1st day pick to possible 2nd day pick... meaning he could go undrafted... though I think some team takes him in rounds 6 or 7... What do the Bucs need to do to nab him? Wait until his playing career is over and hire him as a defensive quality control coach because that is probably were this kid's career is going to be.

CBs from the University of Florida...Both Ryan Smith and Reggie Lewis ran in the 4.6+ range and probably needed to do a more to make up for their lack of height... Smith is a pip squeak at 174 while Lewis has limited experience and really needed to wow 'em... Smith will still likely get drafted, probably early on day 2, Lewis...?

What the Bucs need to nab either? 4th or 5th on Smith... a 7th for Lewis.

CB Daymeion Hughes...He wasn't expected to run well anyways but he struggled to get under 4.7? Officially going with a 4.65 which is very pedestrian... But this does nothing but makes me happy because this kid can really play in zones... Don't forget, we drafted a CB a few years ago that ran a 4.63... that CB was Ronde Barber and that is the kid of playmaker Hughes is... His poor 40 time can only help us... he tested very poorly but he can really play.

What it does to his draft stock... will drop him possibly two rounds... he was looked at at one time as a late 1st round pick... now he might not go until early in day 2....What the Bucs need to do to nab him... hope he's still there in round 4... he would be a great pick there.

All of the top safeties--- Reggie Nelson, Brandon Merriwether, Michael Griffen... no, none of them peformed poorly,. as a matter of fact all did pretty well, other than Nelson and Merriwether being smaller than advertised and desired, they all timed just below 4.5... but unfortunately for all 3 safeties... none of them are LaRon Landry... what Landry did was eliminate the debate of who the best safety is an elevate himself into a likely top 10 pick... He blew the other safeties away...

What it does to their draft stock... They're all playing for number 2...

What the Bucs need to draft any of the 3... One is likely to fall to them if they want at pick 2a.

Any others? Don't agree? Post it!

A guy I forgot as hurting himself at the combine...

WR Dwayne Jarrett... the rumors of him running in the 4.7 range can't be ignored, add to the fact that he did nothing to dispel the rumors by doing nothing but weigh in... What it might do to his draft stock? There are many WR's that are jockeying for #2 WR position, Ginn, Meachem, Bowe, and now maybe Jason Hill... If the rumors are true Jarrett could drop to the bottom of round 1 or top of round 2... Jarrett can still play... Cris Carter ran a 4.70 coming out of college and still had a pretty good career, Jarrett is big and athletic and works a lot harder at his craft than other big slow busts... What the Bucs need to do to get him... don't we have enough big slow WR's??? Pick him up at 2a.

WR Johnnie Lee Higgins... speed was the name of his game, he even boldly claimed he would run a 4.2-something... he ran a 4.48 SUH-PRISE SUH-PRISE SUH-PRISE... I definitely was... He plays faster but this can't help a guy that isn't the most refined WR out there.... How it will affect his stock... He won't likely be a high to mid 2nd rounder like some were thinking if he blazed a great 40... He still will likely go on the 1st day... very late... Speed WRs that aren't speedy don't generally have a big future in the NFL... Higgins is speedy but the seed of doubt has been planted. What the Bucs need to do to get him... pick him up in round 3 or hope the seed of doubt lands him at the top of round 4.

Hey, thanks!

One more guy I forgot about falling, perhaps all the way out of the draft...

Minnesota RB Gary Russell... this guy was supposed to be more talented than Maroney and Barber... then what gives.. he looked a little like Jermaine Wiggins from the paunchy midsection and spindly legs and weighed in at 229 and then ran a Clarett-like 4.8 40... He didn't look athletic, quick, or for that matter like he particularly cared much about an NFL career. Strange thing too, he didn't play for the Gophers this past season as he was kicked off the team and really had nothing to do BUT get ready for the combine/draft... Russell may be the one guy that was in Indianapolis that may have looked like he wanted it less than JaMarcus Russell.

How does it affect his draft stock? Whomever drafts this guy should be fired... This guy showed less collegiately than Clarett and has similar circumstances for his dismissal from his team... and we all know how Clarett and his story of coming to the combine overweight and running a 4.8 turned out... Not saying that Russell is going to rob anybody or go crazy, but I just don't think he deserves to be drafted.

How can the Bucs nab him? If he's truly like Clarett they can nab him by enticing him by letting him 'borrow' a car from a local car dealer... but he might be worth bringing into camp as an UFA or 7th round pick if he can get into shape and show his past problems are in the past.

Okay, i use to live in Normal, IL and just moved back to FL 2 days ago and about a month ago i said something about this WR here at ISU (Illinois State) they are a 1-AA school, but his name is Laurent Robinson. I think he really helped himself at the combine, i dont know how many of you have NFL Network and saw this guy but ive seen him in games and i was thinking late day 1 early day 2 but after his combine im thinking round 2! He ran a 4.33 (According to NFL Networks bottom line) in the 40 and in the gauntlet he didnt drop a single ball and caught all of them with his hands. more results from his combine day...

225 Lb. Bench Reps: 19
Vertical Jump: 39
Broad Jump: 10'7"
20 Yrd Shuttle: 4.28
3-Cone Drill: 6.83

More on Laurent and his Combine day... The 40 time posted on this is different then the one NFL Network said, but still 4.39 for a 6-2 195 lb WR... pretty good... read the notes on him too...

IF and i mean IF we dont get Calvin Johnson in the 1st i think with our 2b or or 3rd we should snatch this guy up...

Just so you guys do know i actually said something about this guy before...

Another player people might not want to sleep on is this cat at Illinois State... I live in Normal, IL (Where IL State is located) and this kid Laurent Robinson is a beast... He might have went to ISU a Div. 1-AA school but he is a monster... Oh yeah and i played against him when i went to Astronaut HS (Titusville) because he played his high school ball at Rockledge HS... lol

I have to agree, Laurent Robinson had an excellent workout, very impressive.

On the other side of things, as I have noted in a different thread,
DT Kareem Brown just had a horrific workout.... not lifting there or at the combine.... running a 5.4 40 and having the worst broad jump recorded by any participants at the combine... He really hurt himself here, he was supposed to be an explosive player and judging from his poor times, measurements, he looks to lack ANY explosion at all.
