And with a beautiful completion percentage of 52.6. But I'm sure its all those first round receivers Vick has to throw to that are making him look bad. At least if CJ gets drafted by the Falcons they won't have any more excuses for why Vick can't pass.

The Falcons are on the verge of agreeing to trade quarterback Matt Schaub to the Texans in exchange for a swapping of first-rounders this year, a second-round pick in this year's draft and a second-round pick in the 2008 draft.

Jay Glazer, of FOXSports.com, reports the Atlanta Falcons and Houston Texans are on the verge of a trade that would send QB Matt Schaub to the Texans in exchange for a swapping of first-round draft picks in this year's NFL Draft, a second-round draft pick in this year's draft and a second-round pick in 2008. Schaub is trying to work out a long-term deal with the Texans. While the deal is not yet finalized, it is expected to be completed Wednesday, March 21.

Atlanta made a good trade and if they are going to give all of that up for one guy then they are equally stupid as Houston. I'd take their first and 2 2nd rounders for CJ. Having 5 or 6 picks in the first 2 rounds would immediately help reload any team.

Just because you keep Vick that doesn't mean he's better.

I don't think that you would have gotten that much for Vick, meaning Schaub is better.

BTW, i don't hope you guys come up with CJ, because you would be hard to beat, as CJ has proven that he can get any pass anyhow thrown in his direction and Vick has proved that he can throw the ball anyhow on the side of the field where the receiver is running his route (or how you gonna call this in Coke-Town). See Alge Crumpler.

Bigger question is do the Falcons have the cap space to sign the #1 or #2 overall selection? And do you have a trade partner? WHich of the top 3 teams is going to drop back that far and still get an impact player they would get by staying put.

Calvin Johnson has the potential to be a great player but you still need a QB to throw him the ball.

If Atlanta pulls off a deal that would secure them Calvin Johnson then your going to have to cut some players in order to sign him. Not to mention the Cap Hell you'll be in for many years to come with Vick's contract and CJ.

It takes a team to win in the NFL not just a couple of players.

The Falcons would have to relinquish two first round picks and two second round picks to move up from 8th to 2nd.

That would be so funny if they did that prior to the draft and the Raiders select Calvin Johnson.

For all I care, the Raiders have a 50/50 chance of picking Russell or Johnson.

Besides, without Alex Gibbs, the Falcons offensive line will diminish further. Falcons will never be able to have a top-tier passing offense with Michael Vick at the helm.

They have so many holes they need to fill because John Abraham was a bust and they lost Patrick Kerney.

DeAngelo Hall is feasibly the worst starting cornerback in the league now in my honest opinion.

The Falcons are in shambles with Dunn and Horn on the verge of retirement and with Vick flipping off all of his fans.

Alright, let me get this straight. The falcons fans are talkimg smack to us because they traded away their only good QB, and in the process got draft compensation that still leaves them with less value in draft picks than us.

Let me take a moment to LMAO.

I hope the falcs to trade up to get CJ. It would cost them so much that it would deprive them of many other needs all for a WR whose talent will be wasted with the one team who doesn't have a starting QB in their offense.

He admitted on a Hail Mary attempt that he went for the INT instead of just knocking it down...it resulted in a TD for the Saints.

He really truly was torched last season. Particularly on deep balls.

So, let me get this straight:

Michael Vick gets injured almost every year...often for significant amounts of time...

And the Falcons now have DJ Shockley as #2 on the depth chart.

Are you sure this isn't a SWEET DAY for the rest of the division?

I'm beginning to believe they wanted that extra 2nd rounder next year to help them move up for Brian Brohm. That is, of course, if Vick falls flat on his face. If he plays well (doubtful), then the extra 2nd rounder won't help them much. But I think they really are preparing themselves for his eligibility.
