He would fit pretty well with the browns, they may not have a Qb but CJ might be the best move for them for the future.

CJ is intelligent, poised, educated, sober, talented and a winner. What makes you think he would "fit pretty well" with Cleveland?

Odds right now are about 1 in 5, same as for the BUCs. By the time they are on the clock, the odds will be zero(because Oakland or Detroit, or a trade partner has already picked him) or 1 in three. For the Bucs the odds are the same, except 1 in 2 if he is left at #4. There are 5 guys worth a first thru 4th pick. They are CJ, JT, BQ, AP, and JR. No one else has enough value to go 1st thru 4th. I'll be extremely happy with any of those 5 at our #4 pick. If CJ is gone, I'd be just as happy if we trade down a few spots for some extra 2nd round pick(s) and 3rd or 4th rounders, or even a young proven player, and start rebuilding our defensive line

It's a proven fact that Cleveland is a dirty disgusting loser city with loser sports franchises. It's basically a Philly-sans-history.

I think the Browns wont take CJ, from what I have heard they are torn between Adrian Peterson and Brady Quinn and chances are both or one of them will be there. But if Cleveland does take CJ they have a pretty solid pair of recievers and they may be a team to be reckoned with in the future.

With Frye at QB, it doesn't make a difference.

the tampa bay devil rays have the worst winning % of any franchise in MLB
you don't have an NBA team, and nobody gives a **** about hockey

The odds are slim to none if we trade up to the # 2 ;).. Call me crazy but I would give all our 2007 draft picks for Calvin Johnson.. Bet you're glad I'm not the GM..

Hey now..! Hockey and Basketball aren't that far apart, and before Lebron came to the Cavs they were the laughing stock of the league.. People here in the Bay Area as far as I know like the Orlando Magic, and pull for them. they're only about a hour away... And first of all, I do give a **** about hockey as do alot of people... And the only reason you said that is because
you know we have a damn good hockey franchise.
Second.. The Devil Rays aren't exactly new anymore they've been around since 99, but we're and have been the youngest team in the league for quite some time now with hardly any experience.. If you follow baseball at all you should know that the D-Rays are coming around and we have a pretty good offensive attack our pitching just sucks.... And not the mention we have the lowest payroll in baseball.. We should be near 500. this year which would definitely have everybody excited. Sure I know 500. isn't great but it would be for them and considering the talent that we have coming up, we will be just fine in a few years. Many say and consider the D Rays organization to have one of the best minor league systems & talent in all baseball. But its always going to be hard to compete when you're in a division with the Yankees and Red Sox's every year.
As far as Cleveland, yes I've heard a lot of bad things myself about how Cleveland is extremely violent and flooded with gangs and what not. But Tampa is too... Maybe not as far as gang wise but I remember a few years back Tampa was like # 4 for one of the most dangerous cities in US. And I doubt you really live in Cleveland anyways you probably live outside in another town. Only reason Cleveland might be worse then Tampa, is for the simple fact when its cold and miserable outside everybody is depressed up there. A lot of killings.... But its not your fault we have things we can get away to like the beaches and many different things. But anyways I've done my rant for the night...
Btw I actually like the Cavaliers.. ;) but the Magic are my #1
Edit: What a coincidence that the D-Rays play Cleveland for a series at home in a couple days, We'll see who has the bragging rights after that.

Back on topic...
I don't think the Browns will pick Calvin Johnson if he is available.
They just used their 3rd overall pick in 2005 on WR Braylon Edwards and their 6th overall pick in 2003 on receiving TE Kellen Winslow. Although both have been bothered with injuries since entering the league, they are generally effective when they are on the field. Neither of them can be considered busts at this point.
If their receiving unit already has two recent top-10 draft picks, why add a 3rd? Their team would be much better off with a guy like Adrian Peterson, Joe Thomas or Brady Quinn, all of which wouldn't be considered reaches at their pick.
The way I see it, the Browns picking CJ would be almost as useless as the Bucs picking Adrian Peterson after using our 5th overall pick in 2005 on Cadillac Williams.

Leave hockey out of this. Lol. Not all us Buc fans are from Florida. I grew up on hockey and spend just as much time, money, and frustration supporting the Lightning as I do the Bucs!!!

I don't see it happening. The Browns taking CJ makes roughly as much sense as us taking Peterson does. Maybe less.

makes less sense?
how many WRs do you put on a field at once? how many RBs do you put on a field at once?(keep in mind the type of RBs we're talking about)
braylon, CJ, and winslow could all co-exist, AP and cadillac can't

It makes less sense because the Browns three biggest holes - QB (depending on what you think of Frye), LT, and RB can all be filled by a franchise level player. Opting to not fill any of them makes less than no sense.

sometimes taking the best player available, not filling a whole, ends up working better in the end
i don't think cleveland takes CJ, but to rule it out is dumb

I'm not ruling it out. And I'm not disagreeing. Let me rephrase my statement: "On most levels, the Browns taking CJ makes no sense, and neither does the Bucs taking Peterson."
I just don't see it happening any more than I see us taking Peterson, no matter what the Mel Kipers and assorted talking heads say.
