I`m starting to hear that some scouts actually think that Levi Brown will have a better NFL career. I hear he`s considered to be a more physical Tackle and plays with a mean streak. I hear Thomas is considered more of a
" finesse" tackle who`s a little quicker and lighter on his feet. I honestly havent watched neither play much in college and I was wondering what your opinions are about the two......

Thanks

Levi Brown is more larger, much more physical than Joe Thomas. Just looking at him, Brown reminds me of Marcus McNeil. Joe Thomas (I know this sounds bad), reminds me of Robert Gallery except without the great run-blocking in college.

That is just their size, though. Who will be the better pro is determined by scheme, teammates, coaching, location, work ethic...too many factors.

Yeah, Levi Brown seems to have really shot up most peoples' board recently.

Levi Brown is larger than Thomas and they are both very powerful. Both would be strong picks.

Joe Thomas- I see a great run blocker, really fast and agressive, who will be a great player, and have some trips to hawai. You can see his potencial by watching his foot-work, its awesome.

Prediction- He goes to Arizona or to Tampa Bay if CJ is gone

Levi Brown- I think that this guy will be as good as Thomas, maybe a bit better, he is a very good run blocker, but i'm impressed with his pass protection, i believe that he will be an All-Pro tackle, and a every year pro-bowl selection, like a J. Ogden.

Prediction- He gets picked by Miami/Houston, and maybe Atlanta.

Levi will be a better pro, for reasons discussed on several other threads. Thomas is tall, lean, coached up, and has short arms. He doesn't have great upper body strength. He's physically almost identical to Robert Gallery (except skinnier). I don't like him.

Levi Brown, on the other hand, can maul in the run game and is nimble enough to play left tackle.

I don't like either one of them with the
4th pick of the draft.
With Luke P. at LT now, I would take a D player at
the 4th pick if CJ is gone.

Joe Thomas's style of play is more of Kenyatta Walker. As was said before, Brown has more of a physical style to his game.

If Joe Thomas were to play for a team with tendances such as Arizona, he would benefit because his forte is in pass protection. His finesse style of play would work to his advantage there.

If Levi Brown were to play for a team like Pittsburgh, it would work to his advantage because they are a run-first team.

If they both go to to ideal places, they should have equal success.

If they switch places or situations, then they both would not reach their full potential, at least not nearly as fast as they could.

I believe Joe Thomas goes to Arizona at number five and he might become an All-Pro within three or four years.

Levi Brown I believe will end up in Houston, moving Chris Spencer more inside and giving them a nice run blocking LT, which should help out Ahman Green in his last years in the league.

Both have all-around games, but one phase in each of their game is better than the other, which will either help or hurt them with the team they get to play on.

Agree 100%, Kenyatta shot up draft boards just like Levi Brown is doing now.

*Kenyatta was considered a freak of nature (a physical specimen)

Joe T will do better in pass protection against speed rushing DE's than Brown. His better footwork and speed is an asset thats hard to ignore. Joe Thomas also has room to add weight if needed. Both will be good to great players in the right systems.
