Let's hear some thoughts on some of our fellow division team's drafts.
New Orleans confused me quite a bit with their first pick. A WR on a team that put up about 4500 yards through the air is strange, and although they lost Joe Horn you have to factor in the fact that Horn didn't play much. Maybe they want a legit #2 WR, which they don't exactly have, but right now they are on the cusp of being the best team in the NFC and they really needed help on defense. No second round pick so we gotta wait till they pick in the 3rd to say more.
Tampa, I don't know what to say. You guys were stuck in a bad spot at 4 and the two guys I thought would help you the most, Johnson and Thomas, went 2 and 3. I bet that probably stings hearing that. Anywho, I like the Sears pick and Sabby Piscitelli was a guy I was targeting for the Panthers in the 3rd. Not saying it was a reach, just that I really wanted him. If Charles Johnson and Quenton Moses weren't sitting there when we picked late in the 2nd I would have been pulling for him (granted we didn't take either of those two).
Atlanta scares me. I thought Jamaal Anderson had the most upside and they already gave us fits rushing the passer last year. They addressed their corner issues with Houston but I don't Blalock is excellent in the second. Their last two picks addressed huge needs and they had great value, so you have to really tip your hat to them.
