Allen and Gruden have pulled a fast one. They screwed all their critics by
drafting DEFENSIVE PLAYERS, plus ONE with the FOURTH overall PICK.
Then took a massive G who might play T some day.
Then christ-0-mighty took a S and LB with next picks.
The genius has risen to the top.
Adams will be a star for the Bucs. Bank on it.

I see Adams as a huge upgrade over Spires at least.. he was the Bucs best option to take at #4 so I'm pleased.

Yes, they do a great job, getting three defensive players and maybe 2 starters on the D. So maybe Gruden haters can give him some credit now...

Adams is going to be huge at LE, especially if Rice can stay healthy as well. We just gotta remember that he'd better hold his ground against the run as well.

I don't know what you call great but Gruden and Allen just screwed the Bucs for some time with the worthless picks they made.

Adams will be exposed as the unexplosive undersized DE that he is. The Bucs also needed more guys on the O-line. I guess a first and second round pick last year wasn't enough.

Great post.. Not only that the S that we picked is supposedly big, runs a 4.4 and hits hard like Lynch.

Adams is not a left end, a left end has to be able to anchor against a massive RT and play the run, even in our system.

Smell the coffee, Simeon has one foot out the door.

Right. Does this mean our #4 pick gets to change positions or does this mean Rice is a goner?

People complained about the lack of run support from the DE spot. Well Mr undersized #4 pick DE is going to redefine the meaning of no run support.

Rice is 33 and coming off a major injury (before which, he didn't look so hot).

Rice is gone, Adams will get plugged into his spot, and we'll get 3/4ths the pass rush and twice the lousy run support! What more could you ask for with the #4 overall pick?

Under most other teams that can evaluate talent....... a lot more. We are stuck with guys that seem to miss on everyone.

That is the dumbest thing I have heard today. Rice is horrible vs the run and Adams is much younger. I hope Adams ends up rookie of the year so you look like a complete idiot.

Do you have something better to do than nip at my heels like a puppy?

Adams is also horrible against the run. Try watching some film.

I hope he ends up ROY of the year also, because I'm always happy to be wrong about the stupid things Jon Gruden does. At least, I will be when it actually happens.

Excuse me, but I am treating myself to a two week European vactation. Y'all are just too much.

Parting words:

The first day draft was neither as great or as terrible as y'all would believe. It was good and actually showed that the Gru/Allen team are not totally concerned with this year.

Have fun with your idle bickering, as I will be sipping schnapps in Vienna.

While I do give credit to GA how about some credit to our D-Staff? I'm sure kiffin/coyer/morris had their say in our picks. At least some input. For some odd reason this draft feels so much better than the past 2. Not to put a knock on joseph or cadillac but throughout the other drafts I just didn't feel too well about it personally but the FO knows more than me. Glad we went all defense with the exception of the LG
