What NCAA team will have the most disappointing year this year?

---------------

A couple teams I could see struggling

1.) #14 Auburn -- pretty tough schedule to start with (@ Florida, LSU, Georgia, Arkansas) and losing nearly the entire OL and Irons hurts. The defense should be great and this team has shown they can win the close games over the past couple years but I think they might slide this year. The SEC will be tough as ever, someone is bound to slide.

2.) #4 Texas -- this team actually has a pretty easy schedule and is loaded with talent, I just think the off the field issues could creep up and if McCoy gets hurt or struggles the team could lose 3 games. I don't think they'll drop far from the top 10 (if they even drop out) but I don't think they will challenge for a championship either.

I think Texas will get blown out of whatever BCS bowl they play in. Their schedule will get them into a better bowl than they deserve.

I think any of the top-ranked Big 10 teams could dissapoint becase they have a very good conference this year, and will end up beating eachother, kind of like what happened in the Big East last year. I think it could be the same in the SEC, but not as likely.

West Virginia may disappoint badly. They do face some tough opponents in Louisville (albeit at home) and USF and Rutgers on the road.

I know VT wouldn't be able to stop their offense.

In case you forgot, we kicked their butts last time we played them. And yeah, our back-to-back #1 defense WOULD stop their offense.

Florida will dissapoint simply because anything less than another National Championship will be a drop from last year. Personally, I think their defense and Tebow are too inexperienced to get them back to the big game. (Don't even try to argue about Tebow. He's thrown 21 passes against Division 1 competition. As the team's primary passer, he's a question mark.)

I'm also going to throw in the homer vote and say Ohio State. They'll lose @ Beaver Stadium, as will Wisconsin.

Louisville will miss Petrino.

I heard Florida's D looked very poor against their offense during the spring game.

I heard Florida's D looked very poor against their offense during the spring game.

Is that how people are trying to spin it?

First of all, it can't be Florida's offense looked good, it has to be Florida's defense looked bad, huh?

Second, UF top defenders like Derrick Harvey and Tony Joiner didn't even play.

Finally, UF doesn't run a spring game where the first team defense plays a first team offense or anything like that. They run a draft system where each side (Orange vs Blue) picks players to make up each side. Meaning only half of the defensive starters are on the field at once. So UF's starting defense never even came close to seeing the field.

LSU-Lost Russell, 2 top WRs. I dont think they will be terrible, but certainly not Top 10.

Their D is good though, so they're predicted in the Nat. Championship by most people. I guess their new QB is pretty solid though.

Last time we played there was no Pat White or Slaton. I would put our offense up against any D in the NCAA.

And who cares about years ago? New players today. New game today.
