Rice should be off our roster by time of release.
If not he will be off within the first roster patch.

and the pats are just....crazy. whole d-line is basically 90's starting lbs an average 89, 96 cb and a 85 and 82 to boot. and then a 90, 88, and 82 backup safeties....

Their probem is that their # 2 DT is 69 overall.

in madden...not really. well they actully do have fatigue, but really the only positions to ever take a down off are rbs and wrs

Well if you play on rookie, on all-madden the only position that doesn't ever take a down is the QB which is rare when it does happen. I think a 3-4 needs good rotation in and out to be effective, those 3 have to take on and sustain 5 linemen so the LB can get through and take all the credit.

...? do you like...run you lineman out like lbs? no one on defense has ever gone out, outside of injury, whenever I play, and all i play is all-madden...the only time anything like this ever did happen was when i was playing online on 06. it was the wierdest things. I was destroying this kid up by 30, was running the no huddle offense most of the day. well anyways, reason I was beating him because he couldn't pass his way out of a paper bag. so after his 2nd or 3rd int in a row, my offense was out on the field and his defense was still coming on the field.

NCAA has introduced a new substitution package in the dime this year (I haven't found it yet in other formations) -- sub lineman. Hopefully Madden follows suit.
Hopefully this catches on and they put it in every defensive formation next year.

you must not play all-madden then....if you def is in for like a 10 play drive...the d-line will substitute...usually the ends...followed by defensive backs...i see this every game i play...either you don't notice it or you're playing on rookie like galloway said...

I find the default sub-in / sub-out settings aren't very good if you have any depth on the line either.
I think it defaults to 60 as sub-out. This is way too low (unless your 2nd string bites). For nearly every position I bump mine up ... if my team is really loaded at a position I will even use 80 sub out, 90 sub in.

the only thing i can think of, because thats never the case for my d is that you might be playing a next gen madden. last madden I played was 07 on the ps2.
