oooo good question. I think they would trade down with a team that needs Mcfadden so Min can draft a franchise QB.

I don't think this is really a surprise though. You're probrably right about him number one, as long as he doesn't get injured.

McFadden had what, one good year? What if he bombs this year? Then will he be #1? Somebody could decide Long would be a better need, or Brohm would be a better need. At least they have been consistantly good for a few years.

Brohm has always been consistant with injuries. Jake Long? well he would be nice, but we spent too many day 1 picks on line and offense. We need to go defense again.

McFadden is the best RB prospect since Bo Jackson
no argument.
After seeing him in person destroy my team, He was the fastest player on the field at any time and the most athletic.
Runs with power and speed.

I'm not talking about the Bucs, just in general. If anything, from what they are all ready speculating, Dallas would give up their two first round picks to move up to get him.
Anyways, until I see him play this year, I'm not sold. Sorry, but one good year doesn't do it for me. I mean, Aliki Smith has that one great year and everybody bought into the hype and where is he now? Probably flipping burgers at some McDonalds in Canada.
I will stand up

McFadden has had 2 1,100+ yard season and had 10+ tds in both as well.

whats really funny is he's saying the #1 pick is going to be an RB but the last time an RB was picked first was in 2001. and then you have to go back to 1995 when Ki-Jana Carter was the 1st overall pick.
I wouldn't make a claim that an RB will be 1st, teams realize that RBs are easily to come by
especially in a draft that can possibly include mike hart, steve slaton, ray rice, and felix jones

Injuries? BS. Brohm was out for a few games last season and now you're calling him injury prone? No way.

RBs should never be taken 1st overall.
Sincerly, The Houston Texans
Here is a little comparism!
Reggie Bush-Fr 521 yds 3tds 8.7avg
So 908yds 6tds 6.3avg
Jr 1740yds 16tds 5.8avg
McFadden Fr 1113yds 11tds 6.3avg
So 1647yds 14tds 5.8avg
with this guy behind him
Felix Jones Fr 626yds 3tds 6.3avg
So 1168yds 6tds 7.6avg
Well Felix Jones stats are as good as Bush's and McFaddens blows it away.......all the while accumulating this in the SEC...........
YOU DECIDE!!!!!!!!!! GO HOGS!!!!!!!!!!!

i'd put mcfadden on the same level as adrian peterson, and behind reggie bush in terms of what they can do on a field
and he's not lightyears ahead of guys like slaton and ray rice, or mike hart and felix jones

Mcfadden may not be lightyears ahead of those guys, but he is definitely on another level.

he's definately above them, there's no denying that, but with the talent at RBs in this draft, and it seems like the slipping of backs lately, don't doubt that you would see one of those guys fall to the 2nd round. and if you're picking at the top of the draft, taking another player first, and an RB in the 2nd would likely be a better choice
I'd say the easiest position to still find top tier quality players in the 2nd round, is the RB position

I agree, putting up those kinds of numbers against SEC defenses week after week is just astounding.
Arkansas has a great offensive line too.
And while I wouldnt wish injury on anyone, Im glad we tweaked McFadden in the SEC champ game, because he is just too dangerous to have on the field healthy
If only UF could get a back that was even NEAR that caliber...

Is this guy serious? First of all Bush finished his jr season with a 8.7 ypc average...not 5.8.....In fact his 3 year ypc was over 7..McFadden hasn't been over 7 in any one season..
Second of all, since Reggie's strength is in his versatility, compare all three of their yards from scrimmage.....
And third of all, since you want to talk about bacc ups.....Why don't you post Lendale White's college stats...?
And fourth of all, how did the Jones/McFadden combo fair head 2 head twice against the Bush/Lendale combo?
We'll let the people decide who really was the better collegiate tandem....
Lendale White had 57 RUSHING TD's at USC....that's more than Felix and Darren will have combined at Arkansas.

The Thunder and Lighting backfield was by far better. But I wont take anything away from the Jones/McFadden combo is deff a good one as well.

I think it would be best to see who has the first pick before deeming any one player a sure thing as the number one pick. Everyone thought Bush would be the first pick too.
