Being considered #2 on the top 200 players to draft. I dont see L.T. and steven jackson (ever) doing really good or putting up big numbers (2006 was L.T.'s peak of his career, i dont see him repeating that again). Peyton Manning will always be a top fantasy pick as long as he keeps the good offensive line.

This would be my top 5 QB's for this year:

1. Peyton Manning (good WR corps)
2. Marc Bulger (always puts up big numbers)
3. Donovan McNabb (strong arm to put up big numbers)
4. Jon Kitna (really good WR corps)
5. Tom Brady (better WR corps than last year)

Its probably not going to be a year where RB's will put up big numbers but heres my top 5:

1. L.T.
2. Larry Johnson
3. Brian Westbrook
4. Joseph Addai
5. Steven Jackson

Top 5 WR:
1. Marvin Harrison
2. Chad Johnson
3. Tory Holt
4. Randy Moss
5. Steve Smith

Because Jackson is a beast. He can catch the ball and run for 1500+ yards. I wouldnt be surpised to see him finish with better #s than LT. and as for LT he is a sure pick, you know you will get the annual production out of him. QBs are easy to come by in fantasy leagues. Runningbacks win you the leagues.

I agree, the only difference being LT will score a ton more.

Steven Jackson is the 2nd best fantasy pick IMO (especially in yardage leagues). He is a good receiver and plays in an offense that racks up points and yards.

Why would you even consider these 2 top 5? Peyton Manning will get his annual 400+ pass attempts and Andy Reid just loves to throw..In other words, these 2 backs in particular will only get maybe about 200-250 touches.

Stephen Jackson is a GREAT rusher, with a good O-line, and GREAT hands. SJ>LJ

Jackson had 1500 rushing yards, 16 TD's, and 800 receiving yards.

Does that tell you why?

steven jackson lead the NFL in all purpose yards

and when are people going to learn that spending a 1st round pick on a QB is not a smart move

in most leagues, its 50 yards for 1 point when it comes to passing yards, while its only 20 for rushing and recieving yards

as for the poster who said why is addai and westbrook on their list, you must know little about how indy's and philly's offense work.

both systems have a lot of passing to backs, especially in philly were westbrook is generally the leading recieving option too

and wow that QB list BAP made is screwed up

1. peyton manning
2. donovan mcnabb
3. carson palmer
4. vince young (take into account rushing gets you more points)
5. marc bulger

This thread is a classic example of why BAP sucks at fanstasy football.

exactly

here's yahoo's top 10 from last year

1. ladainian tomlinson
2. larry johnson
3. steven jackson
4. peyton manning
5. frank gore
6. willie parker
7. brian westbrook
8. drew brees
9. mike vick
10. marc bulger

top 3 are RBs and 4 of the top 5

4 of the top 10 are QBs but Vick should almost count as an RB considering the majority of his points were on the ground

These guys were not in the top 10 last year...why? gore hadn't seen the field yet as a starter. Westbrook only proved last year that he can also be a running back along with a a good reciever....and cmon in the past 2 years of fantasy vick has never been more then top 15...

and i don't know who does your point system, but those numbers are off...25 passing yards per point 10 rushing/revieving yards per point...6 points for a TD..RBs are more valuable...but QBs can outscore RBs....why? because how many times have you seen a RB rush for 3-4 TDs a game...not that often, it's a rare event...How many times have you seen a QB throw for 3-4 TDs...pretty much every week by atleast 1 QB...all im saying...i'd take Peyton Manning, Carson Palmer, Drew Brees over say, Addai and Westbrook..
