The Official Halo 3 Game Thread

Here's my idea...

We need a place for all TBBBB members to discuss everything that is to us, Halo 3. We can talk about meeting up for MB games, share screenshots, game films, map variants...

For example, i made a Gears of War map variant and you all can download it to your xbox through the Bungie.net website. You don't have to have any special networking, it sends it right to Halo 3 next time you log on and is under 70k. I also made a really cool variant of Sandtrap, with tons of vehicles, we can play 16 people on. If anyone is interested, i can upload it, or we can play and then you just simply save the map, you can even log into it with forge and change it around how you like.

One cool thing about Bungie.net is they keep track of everything. You can see each game with so much depth, who killed who, where and with what, how many games you played, what place you came in, the most involved leaderboard system ever, and you can download the film of the game to your xbox too. So if one of you was to say hey i really whooped up on so and so, or you should have seen this, we can go and get the film.

Another thing we can do is make wallpapers or custom art from our screenshots. Here's something i made...

We need to get some matches set up, maybe even a tournament. If your skill from other games has anything to do with how good you are at Halo, then we have alot of damn good players here. There is a way to stick together through ranked matches too.

I've been so busy that I haven't played Halo in something like 4 or 5 days.....And with the Orange Box coming out tomorrow my Halo time will be cut big time.

Sounds cool, I'm on there but my time is limited because it's not my XBOX or account or anything.

I can do it most of the time unless it's super late because that's when my roommate usually plays.

If it's on a weekend I can probably do it whenever and can bring 1-2 players with me.

My friend bought it for xbox 360. It's REALLY cool. And he just figured out how to play 2,3 or 4-player in game-mode.

Bioshock was better though...

I built a kick *** level on Standoff, perfect for sniping. I have a cool new game type too, i kind of stole from Unreal called Onslaught. I'm going to upload both to my file share, but i don't want people stealing them from me yet. :)

The game variant is Onslaught. It should be played with this map call Highway Robbery.

The rules are:

3 rounds 25 kills. 8 to 12 players preffered.

Players
+125% to speed, 75% of gravity. (grav 75% of normal)
125% damage
200% shield recharge rate

Leader
Zombie
+ 200% speed, addtl' 75% of gravity (grav 65% of normal)
75% damage
No radar


Custom power up
30 secs.
+ 200% speed


There are 3 custom towers, all supported by random teleporters, you might not be going to that tower just because its near that teleporter.
Custom towers can be brought down and will respawn.
Grenades regenerate.
All secondary weapons random.

The man-cannons make awesome grenade launchers.
Plenty of objects to flatten people with in the base placed cannons, including forklifts and huge soccerballs.

I'm not suprised, i've been getting my *** kicked by 10 year olds since the first Splinter Cell that came online. :grinyes: I'm still haunted by those days when playing Double Agent.

I'm not the greatest in Halo 3, far from it. I just enjoy playing.

Not I. I refuse to pay 60 dollars more for basically three new maps. I won't play firefight or the campaign enough to bring myself to do it. Even though it's saddening because MLG playlist update in November will require it. Good by MLG :( It's been a great 5 years lol.
