Should I make this pick up?

Should I drop Thomas Jones and pick up Steven Jackson? This is my flex position, of which I can also start LT and Willis McGahee, when not on bye weeks. I am banking on Steven Jackson being a late season gem, more so than Jones and McGahee. What do you guys think?:confusedr

You don't have anybody else to drop besides Jones??? Why not pick somebody else to switch with Jackson in case he doesn't come back healthy...then you don't lose Jones...

Jones has the favorable matchup this week... after this week I would say Jackson is a better option. Its so funny how everyone talks about the options they have. I am in a 16 person league and the FA/Waiver Wire is pure 2nd and 3rd stringers.

Don't you have somebody else on your team you can drop instead of Jones??? If Jones is your worst player then I'd like to see the rest of your team...

Drop a backup QB if your starter has already had a BYE...or same situation different position...

I would either drop someone else and pick up Jackson.......or wait a week and see if he's still there because McGahee has a bye this week I believe.....

Sorry, I didn't mean to be rude and not answer anyone, I have just been busy at work. Anyway, I am in an eight team league, trades cost you, and we only start one of each position (QB, RB, WR, TE, K, Def/SpTm & Flex), with the exception of WR, which we start 2. That is the reason Steven Jackson is on the "free agent" list. I can't drop a QB for a RB. The only players that are interchangable like that are the RB and WR, thanks to the flex position. Thomas Jones is the only player I can really afford to drop, and I am thinking that Steven Jackson is the better player in the long run. Here is the WR's and RB's, the only ones I can drop and add RB for:

Terrell Owens, Chad Johnson, Santonio Holmes, LaDanian Tomlinson, Willis McGahee and Thomas Jones.

TO has a bye week, so I can't drop Santonio Holmes for him, so that leaves my Thomas Jones.

And I can't wait until next week to get him, as someone is already in line wanting him, should I choose not to get him.

Also, we only have 8 teams, because every year when it comes draft time, I get 2-4 people drop out. So really, for the last 5 years or so, it has really just been the same 8 people. We keep it simple, closet to an actual team.

We start:

1-Flex.

The rest of the players are your bench, and are used for bye weeks, or if they have a favorable match-up.

I think you could sacrifice 1 player to get Jackson, i dont think Holmes would really light it up this week anyways so i would drop him
