Hawaii is going to a BCS game.

They need to be in the top 12 in the bcs standings. I think it will be a couple more weeks before hawaii moves up into the top 12 if they keep winning.

Hawaii's strength of schedule is HORRIBLE, the computers won't care that their QB is going for a Heisman and all.

They'll be a bubble team for a BCS Bowl.

Hawaii's strength of schedule is HORRIBLE...

While that may be true, how do you blame them for the schedule when Michigan State, Michigan, USC and Florida all declined the opportunity to play them this year?

Michigan State paid $250,000.00 to get out of playing them... and Michigan preferred App. State... :rotf:

That's funny. In the A.P. poll, Auburn has one more win than UF, beat UF and is ranked behind UF.

Hawaii is ranked 14 in the BCS. I think BSU is ranked 22 in the BCS. If Hawaii wins out they will play in the Fiesta Bowl.

Wow, Cal had the #1 spot handed to them, now theyre unranked
USF was #2, now theyre 20
USC was #1, now 13
Mich gets knocked out first week from top 10 by a 1-AA school, loses 2 straight, now back in top 15
Auburn behind UF with same amount of losses, yet beat UF

And this is why college football couldn't hold the NFLs jockstrap in my opinion. The polls clearly show the biases when you look at some of these scenarios.

I wonder how many losses it would take to knock UF out of the top 25...6 at this rate despite their "D" being lit up EVERY SINGLE week regardless of the opponent...

I never thought I woulds say this, but thank goodness for the BCS to at least bring a tiny bit of sanity to this madness. Still sucks worse than a playoff though.

Can't believe they can't drop some of these terrible OOC beatdowns in favor of a playoff...

As much as I agree with your post, you have to admit the pollsters were right about USF.

I never disagreed. I said from the start USF was a 3-4 loss team.

However, at that point in the season, they deserved their ranking for that moment in time. If they would've ran the table, they would've deserved to be where they were as well. My only dispute was folks saying USF couldn't line up with the big boys as they've done that as much as any other team has in the top 20 and even top ten. Especially UF who has lost not 1, not 2 but 3 now. With their defense (or lack thereof), they could lose to anyone in the country THIS YEAR. That might not be the case in 2008, but in 2007, their defense is terrible.

For folks to say USF can't hang, that's where I have an issue bc they've beaten some damn good teams and the losses are by a total of less than 10 points where they played as bad as they could possibly play away from home and still had chances to win both in the 4th quarter.

It's alright, they'll lose one more and win the rest for a 9-3 type season which will be fine by me as they go to another bowl game.

It's next season and the one after where this team should really be something with these guys becoming upper classman and bringing in some recruits who will start right away. And let's face it, our offense can only get better and our defense will always reload.
