How about since NCAA Div 1 football will most likely never have a playoff system, make all conferences have a championship game. Some have them and some don't, but you want to make it a little more interesting, then this needs to happen. Either that, or just take the conference championship away, but at least make it uniform.

If the Big Ten had had a conference championship last year, Wisconsin would have faced Ohio State for the conference title and a shot at the national champtionship game, rather than be relegated to a lesser bowl because the two didn't play that year.

I have no sympathy for Michigan that year, as they would not have qualified for that championship game after losing to OSU, yet some people still wanted Michigan instead of Florida in the championship.

I think conference title games are great, every conference should have one.

the big 10 has a conference championship

its called Ohio St. vs. Michigan


that regular season game means as much to the big 10 as the SEC championship means to the SEC

But, in conferences like The PAC-10 it's not necessary, everyone plays everyone.
