As commissioner in one of my leagues, I set the trade review clause to my very own yay or nay. Up until now, I've had no one complain about my decisions.
Someone is complaining that I sent RB (Cin) Kenny Watson for QB (Ari) Kurt Warner and obviously accepted my own trade. Their reasoning is that the guy getting Watson received the good end of a lopsided trade. Do you agree?
Here are the facts in my eyes:
- Kenny Watson had really good numbers as of late for a RB (3 TDs gained in the Jets game though so his stats are semi-skewed), but is set to ride the pine when Rudi Johnson returns from his hamstring injury
- The guy receiving Watson is currently short at RB since Henry didn't play and looks like he won't play at some point later in the season due to suspension, so at the very least he has a body to plug a slot for another week or two until Rudi is ready to go and Watson is relegated to a situational role
- Watson was #3 on my RB depth chart when he was starting (start 2 RBs, 1 flex position)
- Warner was #4 on his depth chart (start 2)
- Kurt Warner is not a great FF option at QB, but he is not a terrible option either since he has many, many, many weapons to toss to (Fitz, Boldin, Edge, etc)
- I am weak at QB... currently holding Eli, Griese, and an injured Bulger... ALL of which have BYES this week. So I picked up Kellen Clemens and traded for Warner to fill my two QB slots in week 9
So to sum up... one player gets a starting RB for a short period of time while he's weak at RB and one player is getting a QB for this week and he might make it as my second QB for a few weeks depending on the matchup preferences.
Lopsided trade in favor of the user getting Watson? :confusedr
