I can't see them beating Oklahoma without their coach, you know their guys have to be feeling pretty low...

Who will be their new head coach?

I really don't understand why coaches can't make a commitment to the prospective team, and then finish out their season before going public with the hiring. It's unfair to the students who have busted their ***** all year only to be dropped like that.

Luckily for WVU, that offense can run itself. There's only 5 plays and if they execute it right, they'll have no problem putting up points on Oklahoma. I'd be more worried from a mental standpoint more than anything as a LOT of the assistants will be gone from the game as well I believe as Rod is taking about 5-6 of them from what I've seen on the WVU website.

I'm thinking this means you'll see White and Slaton gone for sure and Devine a possible transfer. The question is, will Trickett move from FSU to WVU to get out of this mess FSU has stepped in recently?

I don't see Trickett leaving FSU, even in light of the suspensions. I don't believe West Virginia would offer him a head coaching position and I think with Fisher's commitment to FSU (let's hope that holds up) and the recent recruiting success (ditto on that holding up too), Trickett sees the long-term future at FSU. Beyond that, next year's schedule is pretty light, so even with the suspensions, FSU should be in good position to compete for the ACC - not necessarily win the ACC, but at least compete.

There have been rumors of them going after Dan Mullen, but I'd put my money on Terry Bowden.

WVU fans may not like it, but Terry's not a bad coach. His obvious drawback is that he's been out of coaching for 9 years. I'd feel better about it if he went to a smaller school first and re-proved himself, but I think he'll do ok at West Virginia if that's the way they want to go.

He got a raw deal at Auburn and I've been waiting for him to get another shot.

Bowden will do fine. If anything, he'll recruit better now than he did before as he's had PLENTY of national exposure and that goes a long way in recruiting and he has that magical season at Auburn he can hang his hat on despite it not yielding a title though many would argue they should've been given a shot.

I'd rather see almost anyone they've mentioned other than Bowden there myself as WVU recruits FL pretty hard and Bowden already has connections in FL, AL and GA among other places where there's quite a bit of talent that USF needs to be working on locking down.

Looks like Mullen isn't considering WVU after all.

Great job misspelling his name in the headline, Miami Herald.

I see Rodriguez has a team of attorneys trying to get him out of the $4million buyout...going the "failing to comply with terms of contract" route...

I don't have a link, but word has it that Rick Trickett is interviewing for the job today.
