I know there's a lot of Bulls fans out there. This should be a good game.
So far Oregon leads 8-0, as their 5th-string QB Justin Roper surprisingly has done well.
Go Ducks!

Grothe looks off.
The whole team does. Oregon has run the same 3-4 running plays quite a few times already and it's killing USF's defense.

Rusty because of the layoff. Happens to alot of teams.
Partially the reason I'd like to see a playoff, or some semblance.

If USF can't beat Oregon without Dennis Dixon, then they will have no right to talk about themselves as a "top FL team." Without Dixon, Oregon hasn't beaten a single team.

Pretty good game, except for all of those damn penalties.
Some key stats:
Oregon: Stewart-12 for 142, TD
USF: Grothe- 13 for 26 168 Yards, TD
If USF shuts down the run, they'll come out on top, most likely. Same with Oregon and Grothe.

If USF shuts down the run, they'll come out on top, most likely.
That's the problem. Every damn time Oregon runs the ball, it's towards the sidelines, yet the defensive linemen are still sprinting straight up the field. The coaches need to get the linemen attacking from the sides in a fan scheme to stop those plays.

Stewart's ripping apart that USF D much like Ray Rice did several weeks back. That interior line is getting exposed once again. Oregon has definitely done their homework. The 2nd half will be exciting as hell to watch.

I put this game square on the coaching staff's shoulders. USF was obviously not prepared for this game AT ALL. On the other hand the Oregon staff did a remarkable job. They seemed to be in USF's offensive and defensive huddles. Terrible mismatch, not on the field, but on the sidelines. Leavitt, you are about to be placed in the overrated category. Great job building the team from scratch, but this is more embarrassing than no bowl game at all.

It was the little brother syndrome that really annoys me. The constant insistence on comparing their program to Florida's, and the parading of their success during major down years for 2 of Florida's 3 premier programs and a rather lackluster year for the third as true dominance.

The need to constantly compare yourself to other schools screams "little brother syndrome" to me and it completely soured any affection I ever had for the school.
I still like to see UCF do well.
If UCF got to #2 you would see the same thing out of many of them. Just as you see the same arrogance out of Gator fans and every other team who has success. Do you hold USF fans so high on a pedastal that you expect them to be different? You're a holier than thou joke.

I find it funny that all USF fans have left to be proud of from this season is a couple wins at the BEGINNING of the season. It's not about how you start it's about how you finish and it's gonna be what everyone judges you by going into next year. So far it's looking a lot better for UCF and UF then it is for USF.

Well. I think we can still be good. There are gonna be a lot of growing pains on defense next year. Though fortunately the offense will be a year older and you hope that they'll be significantly better in 08.

I find it funny you are such an idiot. Most of us expected to get ranked for the first time ever, the expectations were far exceeded. We got all the way to #2. UCF fans have been jealous of USF's fast success for years now. Not to mention that *** whooping you took from us this season. I know it must have hurt. I also find it funny how you put UCF in the same boat as UF. USF gets drilled for doing so yet you do it without hesitation.
And you said it's not how you start, but how you finish? http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/orl-ucffolo3107dec31,0,2928386.story

You're a scumbag troll who only shows up here when USF loses. I doubt you went to ANY university.
Ah, apparently you don't remember me claiming how overrated your sorry Bulls were when they were on their way "up" due to good fortune. For the record, I graduated from UCF and am a die hard UCF fan. It doesn't pain me at all to see the Bulls have a year in which they were outshined by UCF.

When Gator fans take the 'S' off of their Fullback turned QB's chest, then you might be able to say something about understanding one's "place".
I'm getting sick of people talking about Tebow like he can't pass just because he's a good runner. 29 passing TDs, 69% completion, 3132 passing yards. Just because the guy can run doesn't mean he can't pass.

You were talking out of your *** then as you are now. I recall you saying UCF was going to beat the Bulls as well and then you disappeared after the game. You are a troll, nothing more.

Sounds like we have another *** coming out from under a rock to rip on Bulls fans. Apparently we have a lot of them around here. What I want to know is why do we have so many jerks who are Bucs fans hating on a Tampa school? You don't have to like the team, but you don't have to rag on them either.

You want to know why people are ragging on the Bulls? Because earlier in the season they won a few games and the fans got cocky and started talking about how they were such a great team, and how they were going to kick ***, about how this was the begginning of USF dominance. So of course everyone who wasn't a USF fan got sick of hearing it, and loved seeing USF fans having to eat crow. Don't talk crap if you can't deal with the repercussions when your team loses, and loses badly.

Where in my post did I say that UCF and UF are in the same boat? I said they are looking better for next year than USF is. That doesn't mean I expect UCF to be one of the best teams in the country but I do expect the same or more than this year because they showed good signs of things to come on the field. From the second half of the season you can't say the same thing about USF all of you are HOPING that your offense improves because they will have more experience. Your defense is on the decline already this year after getting shredded by Oregon and will most likely get worse with the loss of several key players on defense.
And yes it is about how you finish...we finished with a ten win season, a conference championship, and a well fought bowl game loss, a CLOSE game that we didn't trail in until there was only two minutes left. Once again USF can't say the same thing because they just got run over by the Dixon less ducks.
But go ahead and call me an idiot, that's all you have left to grasp onto is name calling because you know your season and team went to shambles when it mattered most.

They were almost as bad as a certain Lions fan, most people just didn't care because they are Bulls fans. But if you go back and look at some of the ignorant **** they said it was along the same lines.

Is that the only noun you know in your limited vocabulary? If you recall I didn't come back to rub in your pathetic losses, just this one in the bowl game, and remind you how horribly overrated your "precious" Bulls were. Figures someone attending the University of South Florida would need to resort to simplistic name calling to make themselves feel better about such an atrocious national showing. I take it you are quite jealous of UCF's successful season, so take a hike, take a seat, and wait til next year.

I was here when UCF lost, in fact after UCF lost to ECU (Thanks to Kyle Israel throwing 4 picks in the 3rd quarter...a little bit familiar huh?) I said UCF was in trouble against USF.
And yes, I do have to be a jerk, because even upon saying good game and taking my lumps I was spit on. So while I don't have to rag on them..I am going too. Because they deserve it.
The bottom line is USF is a mediocre Big East team...and the Big East is one of the worst if not the worst BCS conference this year.
