Hey, my draft is tomorrow, and i would just like to know what you guys think about these two problems. And no, my order is not out yet.

For one thing, I am really liking the idea of drafting Marion Barber. I am thinking I might even draft him as high as 3rd overall, with LT and Westbrook as my 1 and 2 choices. The other backs that I think are legit canidates for a top ten pick I all have big question marks about. jackson has the holdout thing, and as someone who picked LJ in the top 3 last year, I am a little worried about that, even with Jackson's better circumstances. Sadly, Peterson is a safe bet to miss a few games and completely fail in a few others, and, despite how outstanding he is in the games when he is on, I prefer conscitency over boom-or-bust. And then there is Gore, who, unfortunatley, is also injury prone, even though he has some real skills and could dominate in martz's new offense. So, I am tempted to take Barber. He is a real Touchdown machine, and while he too can be inconsistent, his 4.8 YPC average could translate to some major yards now that he is not in a two back system.

Another one, as much as I hate to bring it up, is the Favre issue. When do you guys think would be a good time to take him? If he preforms to his full potential he could be a good option for a pick maybe as high as the 3rd round, but he is far from a safe bet. And keep in mind that my league takes of two points for INTs. What say you?

Well, I agree about taking Barber before LJ, but I think you have to stick with Jackson and Peterson above him. I really don't think Jackson's holdout will be a problem, they'll come to an agreement and he' won't need much time to get reacclimated with their offense. Peterson is just a beast. He should be featured next year and, although there's an injury concern, injures happen everywhere. Westbrook has had his problems too. Also, I would put Joseph Addai above Barber.

As for Favre, I wouldn't even consider touching him until at east round 8, after you've gotten a #1 QB, two good RB's, 3 wideouts, and a good TE. He is WAY too big of a question mark to count on as a starter. The risk isn't worth it. If he's still sitting there when you're scouting for backups and sleepers, go ahead and take him, but not before that.

Yeah, I kinda agree with you on Addai (knew I was forgetting someone), and I didn't mean I was going to pick LJ. I WILL NOT touch him ahead of maybe the 7th or 8th round, in which case I think someone will have taken him in hopes that he produces like we all hope he can.

As for Favre, Yeah, that's about what I was thinking for him. I meant that his full potential could be 3rd round production, but you cannot count on him at his point.
