I'm in a 12 team keeper league, and I hae a choice of one keeper this year, that I had on last year's roster. We recently voted to keep two keepers, allowing one to be free and themother will start costing large $$$ to keep starting in 09'.
LT, Petersen, Moss, (Romo), S. Jackson-(For now. The guy that has Jackson also has Favre, and with S. Jackson holding out, he may just keep Favre instead) and J. Lewis have all been kept, so they're not available.
I pick 5th in the first round (Keeper-Romo) then I pick 8th in the second 17th overall. We do the snaking draft thing. By the time that pick comes around, I might be SOL on a good RB. I'm sure I can find someone, and hopefully that person will be 06' Steve Smith, or 07' Randy Moss. But we all know that you have a better chance on dating Carmen Electra than picking this years surprise stud.
So here's my dilemma- I think we all know that good quality RB's are getting harder to find nowadays since most teams are doing the RB by committee thing.
I have two AWESOME QB's- Romo and Rothelisberger on my roster from 07'. With that said-
1. Do I keep Romo and try to trade for say, Westbrook who is on someone else's team but he's not keeping him? Really, whomever is still on your team, is still your player, until the draft starts, so why not? Right?
2. Keep Romo or
3. Keep Rothelisberger instead. Ben looked good tonight for the short time he was in there. 2 for 2, 38 yrds and a TD.
Any help on my questions would be awesome. The deadline to "lock" in your players is Sun- 08/10. I just want to put the best foot forward through the first 3 rounds. Once I get into the fourth I've always found good solid players. It's these first three rounds man, that are giving me ulcers.....
Thanks for any insight or help! Go Bucs!
