I have 2 more drafts this week, and one next week.
First up was my work league. I destroyed them. I was 3rd overall pick, and it's a PPR league.

1. Westbrook - Hasn't finished a season in years
2. Fitzgerald - solid but a little early IMO
3. Turner - unproven as a starting back and playing for a terrible team
4. Graham - not even guaranteed to be the starter and will still split time
5. Calvin Johnson - unproven as a starter
6. Hasselbeck - no one to throw to
7. Heap - hasn't done anything lately
8. Cotchery - depends on Favre
9. Felix Jones - backup?
10. Favre - depends on Favre
11. Sticky Ricky Williams - Dolphins playing from behind, heres an idea, lets RUN THE BALL......uh no

Hmmm...getting a potential starting RB in the 11th round isn't a bad thing.
Felix Jones was a luxury pick. Not like I can't drop him.
Hasselbeck has never had great targets.
Favre threw 28 TD passes last year to guys that aren't as good as Cotchery and Coles.
If you don't think Calvin Johnson is a #2 fantasy receiver, then you don't watch football.
Heap is healthy, and I wasn't reaching for a TE earlier than 7.
Graham...how many backs are available in the 4th round that had double digit TD last year?
Turner...recognizing talent.
Westbrook...are you stupid? Westbrook led the NFL in yards from scrimmage last year. In PPR leagues he is CLEARLY the #2 pick behind LT. He had 90 catches last year. He missed ONE game last year, and it was in week 4. Going by your logic, that eliminates Adrian Peterson(missed 2), Steven Jackson(missed 4), Joseph Addai(missed 1), Marshawn Lynch(missed 3), Frank Gore(missed 1)....I guess Tomlinson and Portis are the only first round worthy RB's.

Westbrook has played in 15 games each of the last 2 seasons, and been a high scorer. What's to worry about? AND it's a PPR league, like there's any downside to Westbrook there? LOL.
Along with that, I like the Fitz pick even better in a PPR.
Really don't like the Turner pick though. It's R3, you could have done much better. Plus, he's not that good of a receiver. I like the Graham pick in R4 much better, and he's definitely guaranteed to be the starter. IMO you should have gone with another WR (TJ, Steve Smith, Colston) instead of Turner, then picked up a value back in the 5th, maybe a rookie or LenDale White seems to be falling and should put up 1000+ yards and close to 10 TDs.
CJ isn't too bad, a good upside pick in round 5, but I'm still not sold on him. Especially now that Detroit seems to want to run the ball much more with Kevin Smith in and Mike Martz out. And then there's the Roy Williams factor.
Hass will get his numbers, solid pick. Heap doesn't do anything for me. Next 4 picks look like solid upside/depth picks. Hester may be good depending on the scoring for return yardage, and maybe a handful of receiving TDs. Nice flier on Bryant Johnson. Ray Rice went waaay late, even though I'm not a fan personally.
Pretty good, but not great. I'd have gone safer on the Turner/CJ route. If they blow up, you're sitting pretty. If they don't, you are in trouble.
EDIT: do you have a link to the draft results or at least a number of teams?

no offense, but it's pretty clear it's your 1st time around......
You need to look @ the team, and not just the player. i.e. O line, splitting carries, injuries etc.
I wouldn't have taken some as early, but I'll post my team after my picks this weekend.

Definitely not my first time. I've won multiple leagues and been playing 4-6 leagues for about 7 years.
Calvin Johnson, I will bet my life has excellent #2 fantasy numbers. Turner in the 3rd is a good value. If not, I can move Graham into the #2 RB spot and Cotchery into the flex spot. TE is my weakest position, but aside from the top couple guys, there isn't much separation after that.

Yeah, you passed up some nice options in order to take Turner in the 3rd. His ADP in Yahoo! is 60th and thats in all leagues. You took him 27 overall in a PPR league, with him not being known as even an above average receiver. I would have rather gone TJ, Colston, or even Welker in a PPR in R3, then Big Ben, K2, or LenDale in R5.
CJ in round 5 is pretty good value, but at a cost IMO due to the Turner pick.

ok draft I guess..but heap? would've gone with miller in round 8.

Part of those were not playing it safe. I believe in Turner. If everyone followed ADP, nobody would win other than who had the "best picks".
Every year there are a few players who are much better than their ADP. You need to identify them.
It's solid depth, and I'm happy with it in relation to the league criteria. My draft tonight, not so much. :(

Well duh, but I mean value the way CJ in round 5 was value. Someone who fell and is much better than their draft position. I have confidence that isn't Michael Turner, namely in a PPR. You took him early, if anything.

You took Calvin Johnson when Marvin Harrison was on the board? Even an "old" Marvin is going to put up 1000 yards and 8-10 TDs in that offense. Something CJ won't come close to doing.

^^^^ I wouldn't touch Harrison. His knee is still messed up.
Last night I had my final draft of the season.
Standard scoring, PPR, no return yards. 1 DL 1 DB. Start 3 wide, 2 RB. No Flex.
I picked second overall.
One caveat, everyone was allowed one keeper(mine was Dallas Clark, round 15). So Brady, Barber, Edwards, Roethlisberger, Romo, Brandon Marshall, Jamal Lewis, A Peterson, Brees, Delhomme, and Derek Anderson were not available.
1. Westbrook
2. Plax
3. Holt
4. Chambers
5. McNabb
6. Berrian
7. Stewart
8. Favre
9. Ray Rice
10. Chris Perry
11. Felix Jones
12. Tampa
13. Meachem
14. Beason
15. Dallas Clark
16. Cedric Griffin
17. Phil Dawson
The draft went extremely strange. Patrick Willis was drafted in the first round. Chad Johnson 19th overall. Reggie Bush 20th. Witten 25th.
I hate my RB2 spot. Stewart, Perry, or Rice is going to have to stick. Hopefully the latter 2 end up full time starters. Felix Jones, in this league, I mainly just took because there was nobody else and I wanted 3 RB on my bench.
I took Plax in the 2nd as he was the best left IMO(Welker, Holt who I got, Roy Williams, Santonio) were what was available.
Round 4 I went Chambers instead of RB2 because the backs left were Edge James, Matt Forte, and I figured I could snag one of the guys that I did get later on.
McNabb was a total reach, but that's why I got Favre later, for the inevitable injury.
I'm happy with Berrian and Meachem on the bench.
Have my bye weeks covered at QB, RB, and WR. Will worry about TE week 4.

What did your team look like that Clark was your keeper? I don't even think Tony would of been a keeper 8 years ago.
I would of gone Roy over Plax. Even Welker. What did that draft go like? Somehow I would expect better players in the 2nd even with the keepers.

Plax gets TD's. Roy is more injury prone(imo) and no longer has Martz calling for passes every down. And I don't think he is even the best receiver on his team.
I kept Dallas Clark because of value. It was Dallas in round 15, Fred Taylor in 8, or Fatdale White in 4. I didn't have much to work with. had to be someone drafted 4th or later.
