Over the past week or so I have been having difficulty with trouble playing COD on-line. For the past few months this game has played perfectly on line. I have had my PS3 for almost 2 years now and it has never given me a problem.
But as I play COD WaW recently, my game keeps getting intermittent signal. I will start the game with 4 bars of connection strength (4 is max), then during the game it will constantly fluctuate, often going down to 1 bar (where it just "skips" around and is unplayable) or even just disconnect me. My friends who are playing in the exact same match don't have any troubles.
I have Verizon Fios and I have tried playing both wireless and wired and neither seems to work. I don't think it is a problem with Verizon because recently I have opened my laptap to check the signal strength it was receiving when these PS3 issues occured and the signal is always excellent at 54M.
I reset my router. I even called Verizon and they rebooted everything for me from their side. It seems to be specific to PS3 because my family computers (3) are all working fine even when we do stuff like watch streaming video where it would be easy to detect a faulty signal.
Anyone with any suggestions?
Thanks.
